  1. A Volkswagen has to be an improvement on a Ford.

If you get yourself off to a larger branch of WH Smiths look for the current issue of Volkswagen Driver magazine. They have road tested a Fox, albiet the 1.4, it should give you a few pointers. They were quite impressed.

Don't forget to read the model profile of the Lupo tdi in the same mag.

  2. That moment just after sex when your wondering how long shall i leave it until i retreat.

You don't want to leave too early that might seem rude, but then again you don't want to outstay your welcome.

  3. Bought a volkswagen bag off ebay for a tenner about 18 months ago and on the wrapping it came in it has a sticker with the words Tasche Lupo Cambridge. On Saturday i bought a 1.0se and was surprised how similar the seats are to the bag.

  4. If anyone is thinking of going on the factory tour make sure it's a week day, because the prodution line is shut down at the weekend. I seem to remember that it was also closed on the last Friday of July in readiness for summer break. Autostadt is open all the time however, and really is worth a visit, as is the old museum which is located close by.

  5. Hi,

Im new to the site and soon will be new to Lupo ownership, i am looking for a 2nd car, but it will only be driven for a handful of miles a day (to and from school with the kids)

What model would be the better buy.

I have a company car which will clock up the main mileage, will be lowering and wheels etc....

    Your advice is much appreciated.

There are some very pro diesel people on here. I test drove a Lupo diesel a few months back and it was the noisiest car i've ever driven. Not something i could live with on a daily basis. The 1.0e or 1.4s look a good bet for your budget.

  6. Budget around £900-1400, will only be used as a TV and for ps3 and 360 NOT PC. Any ideas?

Like the Samsung 46" LCD 1080 ( LE46M87BDX) http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/products_moreinfo3/index.asp?product_id=12869 ://http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/prod...quot;] ://http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/prod...quot;] ://http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/prod...quot;] This will have to go on the wall. Its my 21st pressy from parents  They have never spend over £100 on me ever so this is amazing :shades:

Bought a Samsung myself. Highly recommended. Try John Lewis, you should get a good price and they give you a free 5 year parts and labour warranty on all televisions.

  7. The Editor sent me a copy of the mag on Saturday, there is a 5 page model profile of the Lupo TDi and I'm in the 'owners opinions' bit :)

I'll try and scan the page and post is up.

Does anyone else buy the mag?

I get the mag every month. Went on the VW factory tour they organised last summer. Highly recommended.

  8. And compared to the competition, it seems the better car. The only downside is the complete lack of performance from the 1.2 and poor emmisions. Compared to the C1, there is no comparison! you'd have to put 12 bags of cement in the C1 to get the weights the same, and even then you're still 13hp up. The Citroen and Aygo are flimsy to say the least though.

I was tempted by a 56 Panda 100hp at £7995 in grey at the Citroen garage. Very nice indeed, but the deal was soured by 'brain dead' attempts to bump the cash price up by £550 and not telling me what the APR rate was. Needles to say, I walked.

I can buy a new Panda Multijet for £6600 (from £8300) through CSMA. No deals on the 100hp :angry2:

Or do I just repair the Loop?

Thought of a second hand Fox? They're begining to be available at less than £4000. More money for mods.
