500??? I've seen like 5 since yesterday. They r cheaper to buy than a VW and just as reliable so I think i'm gonna go 4 one of those. I checked out the Audi TDi's and the more powerful TDi A3 is in insurance group 13 whereas the Fabia is only in 9, plus the A3 takes an extra second to get to 60 cus its built like a tank!!!!

My mistake u cant get a GT TDi for that price at all, ur lookin £9000 so that is a good price. Ouch how am i gonna afford that??!!!!!!! LOL

Actually, i've found 1 for sale on pistonheads that has been remapped and it claims 180BHP, so that kind of answers my question. Anyone else think its overpriced though considerin u can get a standard 1 for £5000 and have it remapped for £700? http://pistonheads.com/sales/213380.htm

Ok Ok I know i'm being a pain with these constant questions, but i'm gonna ask another 1 The 1.9 GT TDi Polo is pretty fast anyway. I was talkin to a friend of mine about remapping TDi engines in the Golf. He said you could remap the GT Tdi 150 Golf up to about 210. Does anyone know what the difference would be in the Polo if that was remapped? Cause im thinkin bout gettin one of those, remappin it n puttin sum coilovers on it and then hopefully it would perform about as well (if not better) than a Lupo GTi and the insurance might still b cheaper?? Anyone?

U also as someone else said definitely need to check ur monitor has HDCP, otherwise its pretty much not gonna work. Hope i've helped a bit :S

The only thing with Direct Line is they have some stupid rule that they just refuse to insure anyone under the age of 25 on a car with ANY modifications, no matter how minor. But yeah im with them at the moment and they were much cheaper than anyone else

hmm i wonder what the quote would be for me on a GTi hypothetically if I turn 19 with a years no claims and no points on my licence? I might check it out (TPFT obviously, i'm not a wealthy oil baron)!!! But yeah that quote for the TDi isn't bad at all. I've had 3 crashes and been caught speeding excessively. Fortunately I havnt claimd n the copper let me off. Lets hope my luck contnues

Well funds are tight for me atm. I really wanted a 306 but had to settle for a less than perfct example!!! Mechanically it is awesome, but the bodywork leaves a lot to be desired.How old are you VAGGIRL? are you also debating whether toget a GTi or a remapped TDi? If you're a similar age to me (18 im only a baby hehe) then the TDi might make more sense.I'm just gonna wait and see. I'm not gonna be able to afford either until im 19 (next may) anyway, hopefully i'll have a years no claims by then.cheers g-man

Point taken willcrook but im guesin u cud put xenons in and make the TDi look more exciting. Plus, the TDi has loads more torque. I would rather have a GTi but i'm just thinkin from an expense point of view. Oh btw Daz does ur insurace company know about all the mods on ur Arosa lol??

I was determined that the next car i was going to get would be a GTi. but now i'm not so sure. I've read in a thread that u can re-map the TDi up to 117BHP?? If I did this would the insurance still be in group three or would it turn out to be near the insurance for a GTi? Also, what would be the difference in performance. Any ideas, suggestions etc would be great

Hey! I spoke to my mate last night and he suggested all of the other stuff that has already been said. However he also had an idea which I don't think has been brought up. You need to check if u have a single link or dual link HDMI-DVI cable. The way to tell is by lookin at the end, if there are pins in all the gaps then it is dual link otherwise it may be single link. If it is single link it may be worth getting a dual link (ebuyer.co.uk) and trying that?

O.k i've got a 4th gen Ipod (20gb). Weneva i go to turn it on the logo of an ipod with an unhappy face comes up. I have taken the back of the ipod and discovered that there is an unhealthy sounding clicking noise coming for the hard drive. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
