Hi paul the lupo is looking great i can sympathise with you with the bent valves happened to me on the way home from gti international in 2007 at 100 mph on the m1 your plans look interesting i spoke to you and your brother a couple of years ago at cumbria vag i think i even offered to buy your interior before i had mine redone so glad youve still got the lupo love! i also agree with you on the cars are for driving hard from time to time not scrapping over everthing, thats why i got a gti engine fitted and have my coilovers at a drivable height whilst still low ill be keeping an eye out for future updates

I understand. I was asking because I did this on mine and I think it looks way better, but in the end, it's just a matter of taste. Once again, stunning car!

Now this..this is what I call a perfect Lupo! Congrats!
Ever thought about painting the lower part (uhmm..valance, I guess) of the front bumper red?
thankyou for the kind words, as for painting the lower valance its not really a look i like, the car is based more on an oem+ theme, i think vw got it right with the lower plastics being un-painted

bit of an update
my 200 cell sports cat arrived
ive got to say i didnt think it would make much difference but i was pleasantly surprised the car feels much more capable now so well worth it
bought a new oil catch tank as mine was leaking from the sight glass
as the sun was shining today thought i would give the interior a well over due clean
and the results
ive got to say i love the smell of liquid leather!
ive also fitted led sidelight, numberplate light and reverse light bulbs which look so much cleaner,
lower doorcards, tweeter builds and binnicle cover are off to the trimmers for a new look, got a few more things in the pipeline to more updates
soon

What wheel is that? And how much do they go for?
its a lupo steering wheel that has been re-worked to match the mk6 golf gti wheel but keeping the lupo airbag its custom made

I run 165/50/15s on my front bbs 7j and 185/45/15 on rear 8j which are better suited than 175/50/15 in my opinion and ive drove hundreds off miles all over the country to shows with no problems you can look on my readers rides to see how they look its when your stretching a 165/50/15 on to an 8j when it becomes a bit dicey id never feel comfortable pushing a car into a corner with that stretch

Looks awesome ross im sure you appreciate now how good car audio can sound now, it gets pretty addictive have you tried some demo tracks such as the emma and focal ones using flac lossless audio brings a whole new dimmension to the sound stage

awesome as always alex

when you say spluttering do you mean like a missfire if so could be coil pack or coil lead starting to break down

Youll need arch work with those specs i run 8 x 16 et 35 as dailies, with arch work, tyres wise youll need to run 195/40/16's
a very red lupo sport
