both please ive seen prices from 1500 to 3500 just dont know what shes actually worth and would like peoples honest opinion - hell we buy any car offered 1700 i couldnt believe it

hi all,
just testing the water here to see what my gti might be worth
2003 in reflex silver
145k, original 3 seater bench in the back,
lots of work done 8k ago as she was a bit smokey, with all recipts to prove - head gasket set & skim, new valves, oil seals, piston rings, valve stem seal, full conrod set - all done by rosamond rebore in northumberland - reputable company, dosent smoke and sounds like a new engine
LUK clutch, timing belt kit done 10k ago with recipts to prove
just done second service since the rebuild and nothing worrying to report at all nice clean oil
mods -
G60 disks and carriers
ap coil overs front and rear + AP rear shocks 6 weeks old
scorpion power flow cat back
heko wind deflectors
6000k non cambus LED side lights to match HID headlights
K&N flat cone filter
kenwood head unit and uprated sony door speakers
good points -
all original inside and out with 2 x gti keys
red and grey 3 seater gti interior very clean no rips
4 x brand new yokohama parada spec 2 tyres just fitted on original gti alloys
new fan switch, engine temp sensor and thermostat last week (engine temp sensor went so i just done all three)
mk1 leon cupra r front splitter
bad points -
had to replace wing as it got hit with a supermarket trolley and cracked, ordered it off ebay the guy sent one in moon silver instead of reflex so its off colour a bit
key fobs wont open doors (central controll module is suspect) but works fine with either key
drivers window little sticky on the way up
central locking dosent lock the boot could proberly do with new lock assy
small scuff on front bumper and needs washer jet caps
thats about it
loads of spares in the garage too -
2 x window regulators
1 x drivers side gti wing
full standard suspension in working order
spare gti engine cover
BEEN AS HONEST AS I CAN HERE WHATS YOUR OPINIONS ON THE CAR PLEASE

yeah just had them off today and from what i can see they are the original VW top mounts - 145k on the car lol
do you think it will be them that are making the noise ?

any further advice on this topic ??
lupo gti i have two keys and have tried the above method many times using both keys in the ignition - i cant seem to get any response from either key when pressing the lock button after locking the door with the drivers side door lock
put new batterys in both keys today and still no response
any advice is appreciated

hi all just wanted to clarify before I spend money -
had a set of AP coilovers fitted 6 weeks ago - lupo gti.
getting a nasty creak from both sides now at low speeds when I pull of the drive and also at low speeds on uneven road surfaces
am I right in thinking I need to replace the top mounts ? bearing and rubbers ?
also do I just buy the standard gti ones from vw and will they fit the AP coilovers ?

Cheers for that I'm a bit gutted really as I only had them done 10k ago time for a 18t I think

The polo engine won't fit with the Lupo six speed box, bell ousting bolts don't line up

Hi all new here and looking for advice with my 2003 gti - I keep getting black specs up the back of my car it's had a bottom end rebuild 10k ago so I doubt it's the piston rings, it's fitted with a scorpion power flow cat back the black specks seem to be carbon out the exhaust and accumulate over a couple of days after washing the car - anyone on here experienced this at all ? Any advice appreciated - thanks

removed exhaust and cleaned it out with wheel acid - was full of oil and carbon from before the rebuild - clean as a whistle noww and not one spec coming out the back
