  1. re safety whats the biggest failry common car over here? a Range Rover Nissan Patrol etc.. ok the Loop's not going to fair too well against one of these. The best selling car in the states is the F150 which is a monster. it's bigger and fairly common brothers the F250 & F350's are maassssssive. Little Loop wouldn't stand a chance!

  2. Haven't read it all but I'd go with Tesco every time. Been driving a looooooooong time and they beat the 'ladies insurance companies' everytime.

Diamond wanted £900 for me, bearing in mind my age etc etc I thought it was a bit steep. My renewal from Tesco at the time was around £400. I'm still with Tesco and am insured on both the Loops and my insurance is really low and they've protected my no claims.

Had two bumps, both non-fault and male drivers :coffee:, and they've sorted it all out with no issues their end.

  3. Did you come to any decisions?

I haven't read all the posts but if it's any help I did everything back to front and it hasn't hurt my career, in fact it's helped me realise what I did/didn't want. That's the beauty of education - you can come back to it and it generally doesn't matter about your age.

Hope you had a good Christmas.

  4. Went to Alton Towers last year - great day out.

Air was good, although it broke down whilst we were strapped in waiting for take off.

  5. i thought you were using a road bike

imo a full sus bike is the complete wrong tool- twice as much effort due to the rear spring taking out all your movement.

even a mountain bike is gonna be hard work if you havent fully trained but still possible if you wanna do it, my advice would be get hold of a half decent road bike to reduce the strain, or take it easy and cruise along on a mtb but def not full sus lol

Wouldn't entirely agree with that - modern suspension designs don't bob much at all!

But he's right, a well fitting road bike will be loads more suitable for the job!

    100psi in both tyres.

Get that saddle dead flat - use a spirit level if ye must.

    New brake & gear cables

    Oil that chain.

  6. just to add. on the way home from work earlier ive told her that im not sellin the car and tht if she really wants to live together shes gunna have to pay for half the car she seemed fine with that.

she never asked me to sell the car she jus implied that, for us to afford a house the car must go.

What does she get (apart from a lift) from paying for half the car btw?

  7. If it happens, it happens. Don't dwell on it.

Still keep some cash in a sep account though, that way you won't squabble over who's spent what at the end of each month. As I said, Joint for bills, your own for toys.

    Enjoy & be happy.

  8. Joint account for bills, your own account each for spends.

If you want to move in with her and she wants to be with you, you'll work it out, but it's all about compromise.

    Good luck dude.
