  1. Thinking about breaking my 1.0 VW Lupo as it hasn't been driven in over a year now as i have a new car and a van. The body is work is really rough and i should of used a different shell to modify as it has dents all over and was my 1st car but if someone is interested in the Suspension which is Air Lift Performance digital V2 Setup with 5gallon tank, Viair compressor, Digital controller and 4 Air Complete Air Bags. I'd be willing to sell the kit for £1000 its still on the car currently only used for a year of driving (9000 miles) so can send videos of it all working serious buyers only before i remove it deposit to be paid. if someone would like to purchase the car as a whole id sell it for £1750 has Sparco R100 bucket seats and rails, Pressed plates and 7x13 bullet steels on the front and 8x13 on the rear (Need Refurb) Fronts need 2 new tyres can give set of original steelies with good as new tyres too. Approximately  110,000 miles 1.0 E Car is Currently SORN5af624ef80ce7_iphone20162017120.thumb.JPG.fb3e25f257fb08420066247930241b48.JPGiphone_20162017_124.thumb.JPG.43b18431c4fdf4b6339e2e2c6ceb857d.JPG

  3. So my 1.0 has finally packed up at 98k, i can either take it to a garage and have the multiple problems sorted out or alternatively buy this 1.6 conversion. From what i understand all i need is the engine mounts and ecu and it should be a straight fit? can anyone back this information up if there is anything else i would need to buy and not just tell me to go look through the forum as i have looked. the conversion is 63k and comes with the following;  Engine
    Gearbox
    Ancillaries
    Gear selector and cables
Wiring loom (engine bay and interior)
    Transponder/key
    Front rad
Clocks (GTI clocks but don't have chrome needles and bezles)

a fast and straight forward response would be much appreciated as my car is going into a friends garage on friday so i can either pay to have all the work done or pay to have him install the engine

    thanks

  4. so basically i got 13's measured the arch gap and was 115mm both ends and i want to pretty much slam it i dont care if itll break or any of that **** youve got to tell me so keep it to yourself i just need some help what coilovers should i go for?

  5. Yes it may look great but trust me there's no style if your car keeps breaking or you have to fork out because it destroys the underside being too low! ;) I only say this because you sound a bit inexperienced and might want to take things a little slower to start! Plus you'll be practically be un-insurable depending on your age running that low, unless you were planning on not declaring.

Also the thing with 13's is you have to run really low and run pretty large tyres to even reduce the arch gap. I'd say start with 14's/15's, get some coilovers and you can easily adjust to suit. :)

With wheels, this might help... http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?/topic/14493-information-a-rough-guide-to-wheels/?hl=wheel

okay i shall take your advice and go for 14's, im 17 in april and dads paying for insurance so it doesnt really matter aha but i shall look for some nice 14's instead

  7. I get why lowering your car looks good (I'm custom rear spring low btw), but why would you want your car to be scrapping? Where is the sense in that?:doh:

Anyway without questioning your sanity any further, the wheels won't fit. Lupo is 4x100 and those wheels do not come in that fitment. Also if you want your car scraping, run coilovers.

style over anything else ;) ahhh okay thank you i really need to learn more about wheel sizes and sheit..

  8. I'd say your best bet is to run 15in steels and get them banded if you like that look then lower the front by 60mm and rear by 45mm witch can be done by just using lowering springs however you will feel a massive handling difference on coilovers and brilliant handling is never a bad thing.

You could also go for a straight through pipe and an induction kit, an I know all the controversy about induction kits but being a mechanic if you choose carefully and place it properly then you will get a nice sounding engine with some decent increase in performance!

thank you but im going to stick with the 13's :) and i shall look into it :)

  9. Lower it first.

Nice set of wheels, browse members rides and see what style you like and go from there.

You'll need to be silly low to make 13s look good.

To host photos you need to upload them to an online host. I use facebook and set the album to public.

Tinypic, flikr and imgur will work aswell. Photobucket sucks as it has a weird download limit, only so many people can see the photo in a set time.c

could you help me out on how i should go about lowering my car if im gunna run 13's? :innocent:
