Thanks for the replies everyone. Just had a new HU fitted along with some new front speakers. HU is a Pioneer DEH-P4900IB Front speakers are Pioneer TS-E1796 I also needed some new front spacers to fit these speakers & possibly another type of speaker that isnt the OEM kit. All in, fitted was £250, which i was fairly happy with. The HU also has an iPOD link cable which was installed aswell. This allows me to use the HU to control the iPOD, such as browse, play, etc... Just come back home now after having it fitted & to grab a few CD's & of course the iPOD Nano :-D P.S. I did call in at the dealers & asked about the rear cards from the GTi, & yep.... price is around £75 each + VAT!!!!! (don't think i will be doing that in such a hurry! LoL). Parts numbers are in the car still, will post them up later & edit this post. Cheers, Pete.

Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but... As i have the Lupo 1.4S, it doesnt seem to have rear speakers & has the Beta HU fitted... How can i get speakers in the rear of the car then to use with a different HU...? Is there a part number from VW for the correct rear panels that will accept speakers...? Also, the Gamma HU... will it play MP3 CDs? Anyone know what a Gamma HU looks like...? Sorry for all the question, just i tempted this morning to go & get some new spekers fitted & possibly a new HU!!! Cheers, Pete.

Hi all, I just introduced myself in the new members section. Im curious as to what the fuel consumption figures should be for the 1.4 S (75bhp)...? Is there anything i should look out for, i.e... common faults, niggles, design faults...? It's a cute little car & im enjoying driving it (untill the wife passes her test, then it will become hers & i will have to go for maybee an old Audi 80TDi smoker, lol. Im not interested in modding it, but maybee a few little subtle changes that have already been tried & tested. Oh... & maybee a set of VW stylee alloy wheels (maybee from the Sport or GTi)... any fitting issues with any of these choices & any for sale anywhere local to me (North East UK). Cheers, Pete.

Hi there. Im a new membere & also new to Lupo ownership. I used to have an Audi A3 1.8T Sport that was remapped & had lots of work done to it. The wife wants to learn to drive, so the Audi had to go & here we have the Lupo :-) First impressions.... Well, its nothing like the Audi was (of course its not going to be silly! LoL). Its a cute, comfortable little super mini with electric windows, central locking & a radio, lol. Think im gonna go out for a long drive now & check fuel consumption, handling, you know.... all the stuff we all want to do when we get a new car (or atleast new to our ownership).
