Spent 8 hours today getting the black crud off then washing and waxing.
Scary when thats more time in one day than I've spent cleaning my last 4 cars over nearly 5 years. I forgot how much I actually like the smell of auto glym
Used a bot load of tar remover and two old loyalty cards to get all the gunk off
mmm shiny
There aint much space in the back yard so the dog kennel had to be put to one side
And I've got a name for it now.
Introducing Nudge
Need to get those other two alloys done I think
Opinions?

whoops
I may have just accidentally ordered a K&N as well
-
VIC passed
Currently busy with the heat gun removing the bump strips etc
Going to treat myself to some pressed pressed plates as well
-
Well VIC's paid for and booked in on Thursday next week
Already put my mk2 sirroco wheels on
Once I'm through the VIC will be sorting the insurance , tax then ordering some coilovers as a bit of a treat plus possibly giving the car a name
Wish me luck

Yer getting fine tommorow morning, weather depending, got to love English weather!!
They were £200 from venom Motorsport and took 2 days to arrive!!

That will be my max budget I think if I go that way which pretty sure will happen sooner or later if my lass allows me to have the bankcard for 5 minutes

Thinking I'll be going the same way myself.

Nothing really to update the last couple of weeks due to lack of funds amongst other things
Well applied for the VIC and spoke to VOSA today to be told they are working about a week behind
Gave the car a wash yesterday and hovered out the interior.
I've been driving rat styled cars the last 5 years or so and never bothered about washing or cleaning at all unless you count emptying out old mcdonalds
cartons etc
Looking at a couple of induction kits on ebay atm
I know it probably wont add to power/performance at all and in a toss up between ramair K&N and pipercross.
Ramair being the cheapest but K&N being the better name in my experience.

Can anyone recommend a company for pressed plates?
Checked ebay and seems most of the compaines on there dont do legal UK ones as they are in German font
Thanks in advance

ok so at the moment my cars standard (its a cat C pending a VIC) I'm 39 with 2 years NCB and living in a NE29 post code. Been quoted about £60 a month on fully comp on a 1.4 16V pretty sure its 2001
can you beat it?
If you think you can then may give you a shot but if not then will stay where I am.
Know the info is limited but I work in a call center and hate having to call other call centers. Last thing you want to do after being on the phone all day is go on the phone again.

Best cover I've had was a couple of years back with Britania breakdown.
Used the AA before that until they left my ex-wife and kids stranded in Northumberland in 5 ft of snow and freezing tempritures for 6 hours
Not sure how good they are now but always found them to be with me inside 45 minutes and no messing about.
This is going back a few years when I used to run offroad mod'ed land rovers and they would always turn up with a flat bed as soon as told them it was a 4x4 and no messing about with small vans etc

Hi
If you send me the car details and a contact number I will get someone to call you.
Thanks
Dan
Cheers wont be till after the weekend now tho as mad busy with work etc etc
Am I correct in thinking if it's Cat bla bla, and you need to do a claim they refuse? So there happy to insure you, but wont payout etc
Remember hearing it, but not sure if it's just a myth
Thats a new one on me.
As far as I know as long as youve made the insurance company aware its a former write off and its been checked to be safe and roadworthy if you do need to claim there's no reason it should be tricky.
Saying that I generaly dont claim on insurance. I normaly let a solicitor sort it out. Why screw your insurance by having to declare a claim if its the other guys fault? Granted if you have to make a claim gainst say your car being stolen etc then yeah you gotta do it

Local to me which my mate owns has 2 in at the minute and 2 arosa's if you want anything it could check sure he would post them
was going to ask where you are but then saw the "reet oot" on your info so that kind of gives it away.
There's an almost compleat 1lr soft blue in a yard up at Burnopfield if you didnt know as I had a fair part of the front end.
Pretty sure the engines blown on that one though

Had words with the DVLA yesterday to check a few details and got the vechicle status info.
They havce the V5 and will send it out once the VIC's been sorted
Will need to get the VIC(vehcile identity check) done which is going to set me back £41
Get it taxed
My insurance company say they can cover it once the VIC's been done
Once I get all that sorted think I'll be starting to a few mods
