Try the igntion switch you can check it by taking the starter solonoid wire off and check if your getting 12volts if not it's the switch.
-
Try a resister pack you'll find it next to the blower motor.

You get the fault sorted off the dealer yet brooksy23 ?

Had your car not been starting before the gear box was replaced ? The crankshaft sensor has recoraded a fault in that list this could stop it from starting. Is the engine turning over when the starter motor is actived ?

Right I went to my local garage today cause my car was pulling to the left anyway, he said to me my lower suspension arm bush iss f**ked he said i would be cheaper to buy a new arm £50,
fair enough i thought then he went to say with the car being so low the bushes wouldn't last cause the angle they are sitting at, i then mentioned poly bushes he said amazing things solid, he puts them on his off road jeeps and they never fail he said.
So if i put the poly bushes on the lupo will they last for a long long time???
i got a price aswell when i was there to do the following........
New coilovers fitted
Poly bushes
tracking
For £170
if i help him lol hes one of my mates dads
Advice please
And thank you
If that is to fully poly bush the suppension with good bushes like super pro bushes if you can get them for a lupo go for it it will stiffen the car up lots with coilovers too

OK, so I did a search and checked the archives but I can't see that anyone has put up a topic about this.
My clutch is getting slippy under power if I'm hoofing it (and 'power' must be taken with a pinch of salt - it's a 1.0l!)
I know roughly what I'm doing, but I'm just wondering if there are any major problems / pitfalls associated with removing a Lupo engine?
- Is the gearbox separately mounted so it can be left in-situ, or do I have to pull both in order to get them lined back up as it's a transverse engine mounting?
- How many different connections are there to the engine to remove? I have a feeling that because it's all so tight under there that I need to remove the front of the grille / bumper.
Is it too much work to be arsed with, 'cos I can't really afford £200, nor will my car go very far without a clutch. You see my dilemma!
Cheers guys.

Bank 1 is only relivent if it is a v6 engine ie you would have bank 1 and 2 for to define what side of the engine . Bank 1 on a lupo just means the motor not the probes.

Whoooops it's sorted now i put the brown earth cable back in the conector where the mute wire goes.
Slilly me i hang my head in shame.

One of the wires in the ISO block mutes the gamma when it is connected to either 12v or ground (can't remeber which). The idea is that you connect it to a phone somehow so what when the phone rings the radio mutes.
Chances are one if the wires in the ipod connector is connected to the phone connection on the Gamma. Find out which one it is by looking at the wiring diagram on top of the Gamma.
Is the genuine ipod controller definitely compatible with the Gamma? It might be designed for the newer units like in the MKV golf etc.
Thanks for your reply and sorry it took so long for me to read it. When i find the mute do i just disconeced it as the car do'nt have a phone kit ?

Do'es any one know why after fitting a genune vw ipod connector to a gammer radio the radio will not work and the display will have PHONE on it .

If it's the box i think it is 5th gear is housed behind the end cap that you can see from the N/S/F wheel arch.
You do not need to take the box out to look inside to see whats up. Just jack the car up as high as you on the N/S
put some thing under the box to catch any oil that does come out, remove the 3 or 4 bolts remove the cap
and take a look inside. only really see the 5th gear thow. After that it's gear box out .

You will needed it plug in to a diagnostic mechine to adjust the beam on a xenon light as the motor needs disengaging before it will adjust correctly.
As you put a load in the boot and the lights on they should corrected the beam to the right level this may not have happen if the boot if still full.
Or as you said the high beam shutter on the xenon lens may not have closed if you have used it on a separate ocation.

Think that could have been me with the winter wheels on.
It's good to be spotted at last

Do'nt remove the rocker cover with out timing the engine up as scotty said the cams are in the rocker cover.
You will needed to remove the timing belts. You will need a sealant not a gasket when refitting the rocker cover.

If you found a blown fuse is the radiator fan woking. If the fan is working then the bottom hose being cold is good.
You can test the thermostat by removing it and put it in boiling hot water and see if it moves.
It's got a good chance of being the water pump.
Good luck hope this helps style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

That fault can be coursed by a loose / poor conector or a faulty slip ring or air bag.
Is it a perminent fault ? or can it be eraced ?
Are you sure it will fail MOT ?
