  2. Hate lacquer peel, my roof has gone really spotty and it's spreading bad haha. Apparently a little bit of clear nail polish around the patch will stop it spreading, which it will do a lot.

Unlucky mate :/ fortunately my roof is all cool just this patch :/ might do that until i get round to repairing was thinking of covering with something

  3. So last night i bought my first lupo! 1.4s 16v 1999 flash red off a mate round the corner from mine. Really pleased with the car.been well looked after, only down side is abit of lacquer peel onn the tailgate. but will get round to re spraying that at some point. also the radio doesn't get any signal :surprised:

considering the year of the car its in great shape!! interior is showing signs of age but that will all change.

The arches have been rolled and it came on a set of coil over unsure of make. its on a set of 13 vw mk1 alloys made by ats. really happy with it cant wait to get working onit :shifty:

  6. hello all,

looking into buying a lupo 1999 1.4 16v but it has a problem on start up and the engine just cuts out on start up unless you hover over the accelerator. (after warming up runs great)

The throttle bodys have been clean and its been said that the have not been relined and this is what is causing the problem. anyone know if this is most likely true ? is this a minor problem or major ? any advice ?

    cheers Luke

  7. When I got my Arosa, there was nothing but static from the radio. After replacing the aerial and base and most of the loom, the reception was still very poor - so before ripping it all out and starting again, I fitted a very cheap self adhesive windscreen (sticky) aerial off ebay - similar to 180915272105off - and reception was brilliant - needed a bit of extra sticky to hold the heavy base in black in summer temperatures - but for £2.99...................!!! So if you want a shark fin and reception - there are ways round it

my minds glued on getting a shark fine! i take it you just run these through your head liner and have the black bit hanging out ? how did you install yours? but this means in need to buy a fake shark fin aerial

  8. hello mate did you fit yours shark fine ? just im looking to fit one and people are saying they dont fit and they hang over the back! is this true ? also do you have a link to the aerial you bought ? cheers Luke
