Just do the service yourself, it's relatively easy on the 1.0.
The only problem I had was trying to take off the sodden oil filter.
I'd try to stick with genuine parts if you can, so checkout GSF Premium (I think they call their oem)
Sparks are the NGK ones, then genuine oil filter, new sump plug, air filters and possibly fuel filter if your up for it.
Always done my own servicing =) it's good fun lol
Just thought someone may be able to get discount from VW. I used to but long time ago and not paying £118 for the kit lol

Really need to service the car but VW Dunfermline want £118 for filters plugs and oil =( I'm not tight but I ain't paying that!

Well little update. Got the interior in but still not door handles =( will post pics later. Need to take it all out at some point and re fix door cards and roof lining as sagging a little. But for the moment I treated mysel to this

i have this and its great with iphone =) can play via bluetooth or cable or flash drive. also controls iphone and has a mic so can take calls handsfree 9think its the parrot thingumy in it)

Really need to give the Lupo a service as economy is a turd =( and she sounds rough.
Just wondering should I go to VW for the kit or buy a kit from eBay? Is there much difference?

Not sure how low she is =( came with coilovers =) have a couple weeks of end of month so hope to strip suspension, make sure it's all alright and will find out then. Can't afford much just now until I start some OT =)
Didn't get interior done today but did manage to clean the interior I got so ready to put it in (next weekend as got 2 days off) all that's in car just now is drivers seat and carpet lol gonna be noisy going to work in morning
