So as an update is due its a pretty big oneFirsty change a little more of the interior to the darker colour which looks pretty cool as has a contrast going on between the green car dark grey interior with some light grey bits (don't have a photo yet)Fitted one pop out window which was a pain in the ass, put some sticky floor protector on the glass and hit it with a spanner which still caused glass to go all over rear seats and floor (thank god for hoovers xD)
Got the engine back in but without an engine lift which was a bit of a pain but with the help of 2 jacks and some wood it wasn't too bad
only encountered one problem and that was that a fuse blew as soon as the battery was connected so gotta look into that

Just put my engine back in put the rest of the car together and as soon as i attached the negative cable BAANG the fuse to the alternator went, which seems strange any ideas why?
any help will be appreciated

New interior time! looks really nice as before I hated those green and grey tim/tom seats, so now I've got the dark grey interior and replaced the seatbelts with black ones and most of the plastic that surrounds the back seats
not sure but those stains on the passenger look a bit "happy".....

Right so today has been MAAAAAAAD spent from 10-6:30 changing over my interior (PICS COMING SOON!) and replaced my cambelt and water pump

Taken the water pump off and its fine so now I don't know what to do......
painted engine mounts and started to clean up the air intake
as you can see only just started on the right one:

Right so during taking out the water pump i noticed that the crank chamfered tooth with white on it didn't match up with putting two drill bits in on the camshaft pulleys the car ran fine but did have a sort of hitting noise I can't describe, so should I line it all up correctly and take out sparks turn the engine clockwise with the 19mm crank bolt and hope for the best?

Yeah been a little slack recently as run out of money lol
This is my new list of future upgrades to the car:
PLANS for engine bay:- Service- oil/sparks- Oil catch can (eventually)- Proper cold air intake feed- Taped manifold- Paint engine parts matte black and paint the engine coverOTHER CAR PLANS- Some camber- Smooth bumpers and maybe colour match OR paint bottom parts matte black- Wind deflectors- Sub boot build as I need some BASS- Golf MK4 Recaros in grey/black- Leon Cupra R splitter- G60 brake upgrade (maybe) -
Engine came out today was rather a pain in the ass as I didn't have a specific bit to remove drive shafts

Gearbox and power steering pump left in

Really need help the gearbox goes into some gears but on 4th it just seems to click and not move/accelerate the car?
Already had trouble going into gear but now 4th doesn't work so do I need a new gearbox or get linkages adjusted to work?

As my water pump has gone and I don't have the money to pay a mechanic to repair it can someone give me any info on changing cambelt/water pump on an AFK engine.
Will it be easier if the engine is out of the car?

Right finally had time to work on the Lupo
Cleaned the cam carrier/cover as it was an odd colour

Then gave it some lows back is still too high though
Finally got the stickers on

Probably best the seat deal didn't work out, that money'll be better spent elsewhere now lol
