  2. Hi Guys,

Official VW roofbars for Lupo, bought them for my GTi a few years ago and have never used them. They told me when I ordered that they were the last set on their system..

£80 if anyone wants them, can collect from Brighton, Hertfordshire or Leamington Spa

    SOLD

  3. Another way to check the threads is the amount sticking out the back to bolt to the hub, should match the dia. of the threaded section of the bolt.

    Thanks Silver!

The only other thing to check is the, wheel to bolt fit, there are two kinds tapered and hemispherical be sure you have the correct ones for the BBS

    Thanks Carrera-gt

  4. Thanks Sausage,

Having them refurbed atm so don't have them to hand!

Suck em and see. A good rule of thumb is that you need at least 8 full turns of thread in the hubs, so poke one thru the wheel and see how much thread sticks out the back. It will need to have more than that poking out as the thread in the hubs may start a couple of mm in.

or fit one and count the turns.

  5. Thanks!

Starters can't be adjusted, but there are many things that can effect how well the engine fires up,
The starter should (broadly speaking) get the engine to about 350rpm cranking speed, at the same time the battery voltage should not drop below 10volts (assuming you started with a well charged battery).

  6. Hi Guys,

Please forgive this if it's a stupid question.

I recently had a new alternator/starter motor fitted and since it doesn't start with the same abruptness as before.

I tend to notice these things, and to anyone else it would be hard to notice the difference, previously it started instantaneously and cleanly, now it just seems to take a little more to get going - can starter motors be adjusted at all?

    Thanks
