The lupo looked stunning today dude.
Congratulations on the win

Hi guys.
This is not the update i wanted to be posting the week before Ultimate Dubs but here goes.
At Midnight on Wednesday i got a phone call from my brother saying he had recieved the dreaded workshop alarm call out so i jumped in the car and raced the short journey to work to meet him and the police (as they automatically get a call)
This is what i found.
The lupo was inside the workshop when we locked up earlier. Now its here with its engine running
Note the door is only a foot off of the floor. This is because in the theives rush to open the door with the alarm making a lot of noise the chain fell off.
They were here to take 2 yamaha quad bikes and a pit bike so as these were stuck in the workshop and my luo was just inside the door they decided to jump in it and reverse it flat out through the shutter doors.
The end result was 2 stolen quads, 1 stolen pit bike, one wrecked Lupo 1 damaged door and a damaged customer discovery.
After a lot of detective work and an amazing amount of help through facebook we managed to track the quads yesterday (Saturday) and with the help of the police retreive the two quads but after the copper chopper and dogs had been out, no suspects arrested
We are still doing our own investigating and someone will pay for this.
Anyway, no U.D for the Lupo but it is a tough little thing and will be back for the Early Edition show in April.
We will be at U.D with My Caddy and a couple of fresh cars so pop over and say hello @ Reflex Auto Design.

There you go

Looking good dude.
Mine is now on VMaxx. I took the bilsteins off because of the constant knocking and creaking. Im happy with it now but need to raise the rear a little bit.
-
This gti is absolutely stunning love the wheels and the colour. Out of interested what offset are your 9s?
Thanks,
They are ET 25 front and rear.
-
Its getting there now.
The Airex struts are awesome. The bag is height adjustable like a coilover so i can set it really low and then it just lifts to normal height rather than 4x4 mode.
I cant wait to get it all set up.
-
Cheers dude
I installed the air on Saturday but the stupid 16" wheels are stopping it going as low as i want it too.
I've got the front down now with a bit of camber but i need to narrow the axle to get the 9's in a bit.

What colour is that? It's literally perfect
Thanks, Its Campovola grey. I have it on my abarth and it always looks clean.
I am so spoilt

Here's mine doing an impession of a snow plow

Favourite Lupo if not car at edition 38 by far, such an awesome job!
Gives me inspiration towards my new project
Woe thanks Sam
I tested the snow plough this morning.
It works

what a disgustingly smug update!!!
car looks good though!
Thanks

I have decided the car will be much more usable with Air ride so today i made a start with the impossible task of fitting the management into the boot space of a gti.
First job was to remove the foam and relocate the battery.
Then fit Compressor
5 gallon tank mounted
And finally for today, false floor cut to shape.
I hope to get the tank painted to match the wheels in the week and some alcantara for the floor and seat backs.

Time for an update i think.
I have now stolen this car from Claire as she wanted something bigger and more sensible.
I have altered a couple of bits and it now looks like this
More updates to come

Cheers man you too are you inside UD13 with it dude?
Thanks matey
We should be inside with a few other cars we are painting for the show.
8 weeks and 3 colour changes (plus othe mods) to do along with other work and fitting an air install to my Lupo on the weekends.
No pressure then
-
Haha glad you like Alex
Picking them up this weekend Ryan cant wait
Thanks matey mean a lot that you like it i spoke to the judges at edition and mine came 5th so thought id better step my gamr up for 2013 i had a good look around yours dude looks awesome !
Thanks matey more to follow
Thats it, you have to keep things moving.
I only finished putting mine together on the morning of the show as i didn't have an interior ready until 10pm friday
It hasn't moved since driving it back from the show as the rear wheels have too much poke to run it low so i need to play with a few things when work slows down a bit.
Keep up the good work

Just read through this build thread and the time and effort gone into this car is amazing.
It is the perfect Lupo GTI.
I looked around it at E38 and thought you would be going home with a trophy.
Mine is the Grey one with Aqua interior and 1552's and it needs some more little touches before its anywhere near this.

Yep thats the one, I'm Matt, part of Reflex Auto Design
-
I'm here, with the grey static one.
Been away for a few years but i pinched the Lupo off the missus (used to be Ibis white with black roof) and brought it up to date.
Only finished at 10am Saturday so a few bits to finish off and the stance to set up
The quality of lupos was awesome at the show. Everyone there should be proud.
Thanks,
Matt

thats was the blokes missus car, called kermit.. hes got a black gti now.
@loopy lupo - good scrappy that is mate, used to go there often
Hi guys.
I know this is old thread but she really does miss this car.
It was taken away from her by an uninsured russian
He came off a roundabout way too fast and drifted across the road. Look how far he flew over the tough green lupo ramp.
Luckily the traffic behind had stopped at the crossing otherwise someone may have lost a head.
The lupo is out of shot behind the camera. The slk was her sisters who raced there in a panic (as well as me) Not a nice phone call.
Anyway she has this now which most would be happy with and she is but...
But she really wants kermit back.
I need a fantasia green sport but it must have the green Tim and Tom seats.
I know its a long shot but if anyone sees one for sale please let me know.
Condition not important.
Thanks,
Matt

What size are the d90's? 8's? Any problems with them going on?? Looked rather nice at inters.. Have you made any changes to your cracking mk4?
Hi ya. Yeah they are 8's all round but not sure what width adaptors as they are from my MK2. I tucked all 4 arches and have no scrubbing.
The mk4 is going to be for sale after E38 as it just sits in the garage. I have spent the money in my head on finishing the G60 and going to town on the R32 style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
-
have you still got the turbos in black?
Hi ya, Yeah we still have them. They are compomotive TH mono's, 8x15 with yoko 195/45's I need to get them painted again though because we put a white line around the rim and it looked nasty. I then had no wheeels for gti international so i made the mistake of trying the design 90's from my G60 and now i have a red g60 with black and white wheels and no chance of getting my porcshe wheels back style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />

Still waiting for the insurance to be sorted out so i have put my spare bumper and some banded steels on as i think the 16's are too big.
