  1. thanks for that heads up heartagram, i didnt relise you could get a gti bumper for non gti's. i will have a look to see if they look any good. Really like the idea of a 3l front though even if it takes some modding, maybe a long term mod.

  2. Just wondering how hard it is to fit a lupo gti front bumpeer onto a tdi? Also how hard is it to fit a 3L bumper onto a tdi and how hard are they to find to buy and where is the best place to get them from? can you get them through vw dealers over here?

    thanks

  3. HI,

basically like the title suggests i just want to know what to look for on tdi's with 90,000 and up to 150,000.

Is it essential to have vw service history or are the engines pretty strong regardless of service intervals and where it has been serviced?

at what mileage does the clutch and exhaust tend to go?

Any pointers, hints and tips greatfully appreciated.

    Michael

  4. Just messaged someone from ebay abouit a lupo tdi who says that it is important for the tdi's to have a special (certain) oil when changed. Is that true or is it just a certain grade thats needed like most cars? apparently the engine will pack in after 120,000 if wrong oil used. do they really need to be serviced at vw?

Its just that with my budget i might have to get a higher mileage one but dont want a dog.

    Thanks

  5. oh ok. Well i dont know if i could get a later tdi sport for that money but nevermind, a slightly earlier tdi sport would do. Just means i can put more of my own touches on it as i go along. Is it defo only the later ones that have GTi seats?

  6. Am i likely to get a tdi sport for £2500 that isnt battered? I do like the thought of the cheaper motoring but the gtis just look really nice. What is the tdi sports performance like after re-map?

    thanks for above reply

  7. Hi,

I am a new member called Michael and i am on the lookout for a Lupo. My dilemma is that i would like the cheap tax and mpg of the tdi but i prefer the exterior, interior and performance of the gti. The gti wont be much more to tax and run than my rubbish fiesta so at least a nicer better performing car will make up for the outlay. My budget is £2500 or close to that if possible.

Basically i would like opinions on if the gti's performance and looks etc is worth the extra running costs.

    Thanks

    Michael
