This will make you laugh...... Oscar's cambelt hasn't snapped. The distributor cap was broken, even though we replaced it this morning. RAC guy got Oscar running and we have driven him home. This car has a mind of its own. Dec is taking it into work tomorrow as the cambelt is not well, it's just too loose for our liking. Fingers are still crossed that Osc is going to be okay!

On Saturday 22nd we did his service and new clutch was fitted. The service included; Oil filter Air filter Cabin filter Fuel filter New oil Spark plugs Gearbox selector seal Temp sensor And a new clutch kit. All was fitted and everything was running perfectly for three days. We then fitted the thermostat and new housing on Christmas Eve. We fitted that and everything was fitted fine. We came to start the car and it wouldn't start. It was turning over but not firing. We have checked all plugs are in correctly, everything was fine... From what we can see. We have put a new distributor cap on as the old one was cracked. All spark plugs are obviously new and all sparking well. Fuel is definitely getting through, as we can smell it. We are completely stumped. Don't know where to go next!! ----------------------- So we have found out that the cambelt has snapped :'( engine rebuilding happening on Sunday. Wish me luck please people xx

So, Oscar isn't well at all Fitting his new thermostat and the housing broke, so we had to buy all new housing for him. Fitted it and all was fine but now the car doesn't start :/. It started, for around 3 minutes it was fine sitting there but then it sounded horrible and cut out. We've tried everything; checked all connectors, took battery off then back on. Everything seems fine. Sparks well and fueling is also fine. But still not starting. The distributor doesnt look too healthy so we're going to get a new cap. I'm so confused and lost with what to check next. Any ideas?? Really need someone's help. I don't really want to take it to the garage and get charged a tonne just to get it checked . He's been off the road now for three days and its killing me :'(. Many thank, Charlie xx

Oscar had his new clutch fitted today and a full service at 109,300 miles he has only just had a clutch change from the original one. He is amazing to drive now, best thing I've done... so far . New thurmo tomorrow as we were waiting on a part which arrived late and he'll be like brand spanking new he's lovely to drive now, I'm over the moon. BRING ON 2013 SHOW SEASON <3 xx
