Sad times
The car has been sold, to a good guy who will look after her.
Off to New Zealand for a year now, thanks everyone for all the lovely comments in the past.

Advert updated:
£4.5k as standard, £5.5k with all extras

Why the change of heart? :/
I'd rather someone else enjoyed it than it be sat in a garage for a year.
-
For sale now on pistonheads, absolute steal if you ask me...
-
Full of win!
Thanks mate

Yay!
:-)

Store it!
You will regret selling!
Looks like its going to be that way mate.
Will be a joy to come back to after a year away.

Posted an eBay at at quite a high price, loads of watchers but no real interest. It will be in storage for now.

Had a little race, you had a passenger so it wasn't fair on you.
Not seen mine before, you must not be on the forum. Show yourself.

I've had a change of heart and am now thinking I should sell before I leave (leaving it a bit tight now).
Should I split and sell parts or sell as a whole? What price would I be looking at with both options?
Car has just under 90k on the clock.

Cheers Pete, really appreciate the kind wordsI keep forgetting how good this looks on those wheels. Safe to say, everyone on CL has a boner for this.

Lovely colour, paintwork looks immaculate!
Looking forward to seeing the new lowered look.

If you're gonna lay it up i'd say keep it garaged and covered but leave the windows open slightly to let air circulate (as long as the garage isn't damp), put it on axle stands to avoid any flat spots on the tyres and don't leave the handbrake on.
Thanks for the advise Chris :-)

Thanks Alex,
Thanks for the info as well, very helpful.
May be a bit too much for my parents, plus it will take up half their drive.
I will definitely look into that trickle charger, and maybe a place to store it. Been looking online and it seems as long as the oil is changed and the tank is full of premium fuel (which is what I fill it with anyway) then it should be fine.

Thanks Brad, we'll have to have another meet soonLooks good Sucks i had to miss it
Cheers Ryan :thumbup:Got a new dilemma for everyone:I'm moving away to New Zealand for a year or so in September. I will be keeping the car but there are a number of options, I'm unsure which is best.1) keeping the car at my parents and getting them to start it & drive it round the block once a month.2) garage it as it is3) the proper route of draining all the fluids (but will the engine seize?)Any help from anyone who has done this before would be greatly appreciated.HakanSoooo fresh and clean Real nice GTI this Ryan -
Luusssshhhhhhh.

Really happy with the way it sits now, even though I have to be extra careful over the bumps
