  1. They have only been used for one winter.
The alloys are unmarked and have the spigot rings fitted,. They come with bolts and bolt covers.
The tyres are Continental Winter Contact TS800 and have at least 6mm tread left with over 7mm on the rears.
I also have VW tyre covers which come as part of the sale. I only have one centre cap that is good, the others are a bit corroded but I will include them.
Haven't including shipping costs as not sure what it would be, maybe £50 or so.
The wheels are in Northern Ireland.
Was hoping to get about £250 but open to offers.

  2. Had the same happen a while ago.

The dealer replaced the light unit without removing the front bumper. They were able to bend back the bumper enough to let the light unit out. Not sure I would recommend it though. Only charged £15 Labour surprise.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":surprise:" border="0" alt="surprise.gif" /> .

But I had to re-align the bumper myself as they didn't put it back right.

  3. Was having problems getting the Toyo tyres in NI so emailed Toyo asking if I could buy them direct or if not where could I get them.

I said I had seen them on mytyres.co.uk. This was the reply.

    Hi

We do this size, but unfortunately we cannot sell direct to the public. If you care to give me your address or just your postcode, I will be able to find the nearest dealer in your area for you.

mytyres.co.uk is not one of our authorised dealers, This dealer brings them in from abroad, if you should have any problems with tyres purchased through them, there will be no guarantees sad.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

  4. Doesn't no one else thinks thats a hell of a lot of cash for an A-Z?  blink.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It also does what a Road Angel Does and people pay £300 for those.

Acts as a bluetooth headset another £50.

And has all of Europe down to street level - a lot of A-Z's, especially if you have to get them all in the boot of the Lupo biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

I guess if you only drive round your own Area it would be a bit expensive.

I do a lot of driving in Europe and it makes for a lot of stress free driving especially when you get into the major cities.

  5. QUOTE(snoopstah)
Navigation is still my worry - working through x000 songs with just the Gamma controls and display doesn't sound the easiest thing in the world.

It's quite easy once you organise the songs into discs.

    The way I did it was to have a disc1 `A-E`, disc2 `F-J` etc...

Then when you search by Disc You can Jump the alphabet easier.

It also means you don't need to look at the display when searching as the Album and Artist names are spoken to you.

There is no useful info displayed on the Gamma apart from the Number of the Album. ie Album 20 out of 200.

I just put in on Shuffle. Then if you hear a song you like from a certain album you can turn off shuffle and listen to that album

  6. Works well with the Gamma Head Unit.

There is no info about the track displayed on the head unit It is all voice.

You can search By Album name or Artist or Genre or Playlist by pressing the `1-6` buttons. and then it speaks the names as you scan through.

I got mine from ebay here

    Mikan Motors on Ebay

You get hit with a £50 charge from customs on top of this price.

There was an issue about Alternator whine coming through which I can just hear at high volumes but you can get rid of it by adding a supressor on the power line.

You can buy the supressor from Maplin for £4.99.

  7. Just fitted a Phatnoise MP3 player in the GTi

Fits very nicely in the moulding in the spare wheel well

    300 Cds in the boot biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Got it from a VW dealer in the US for ?200 + ?50 customs and excise charges

Normally ?586 from a UK Stealer

  8. Cheers Marqs_Loopy but got it sorted

snoopstah was right in that they hadn't bolted it down properly.

Had to get it repainted though and it is a much better Job this time.

Reckon they gave it to some apprentice the first time as it was only a Lupo and there was nothing but Porshes,BM's and Merc's about.

They had given it a full valet this time and when I went to pick it up it was definitely the best looking car in he car park biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

  9. This might be a strange request but could somebody take a picture of their rear spoiler on their GTi especially where it is joined to the tailgate.

I had to get mine replaced as the paint was bubbling.

Apart from the complete hash they made of the paint job the spoiler now appears to be loose :x

Just a quick question as well.

Does you spoiler rock back and forwards slightly or is tight to the tailgate?

    Thanks

    Mike

  10. You're not gone to believe this guys.

Just got the new light fitted to Lupo. Got the local VW garage to fit it.

Guess what they charged me for labour

£11+vat yes thats eleven pounds :0 - Nearly fell of my seat - was expecting about £60

Still love the way this car winds people up.

Was cruising home at about the ton. Passed a Golf GTTDi big wheels etc. and he just had to pass me and then slow down in front of me again :sigh:

  11. Thanks for the advice, the induction kit sounds good but got it sorted.

My wife stood and argued with the parts man that the inside light was a halogen and not a Xenon as he insisted

He eventually tried to prove it to her by looking up the parts on the computer to find out he was wrong. tongue.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />p

So the inside light is only £36 + vat. (Hope I never break a main one)

I haven't got a quote for fitting it but it looks like the front bumper/grill has to be removed.

Has anybody done this and is it easy or would I be better getting them to do it. I am not sure how you get round the headlamp washers.

    Mike

  12. Hi

I have just returned home to find that one of the front inside lights has been cracked on my GTi. must have been a stone or something.

Phoned the local garage to be quoted £210 + vat + fitting :0

Is there anywhere else you could get one of these or is my poor lupo going to have to go round with a sore eye mad.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

    Thanks

    Mike
