  1. Yeah I took off the thing in the boot and unscrewed it but have no idea what it does - didnt seem to make the spoiler loose or the light.

Anyway dont think they will do it under warranty will they? As its a light bulb.... One of my number plate lights was broken - that was contacts rusted up. Doesnt look good for the future all this water getting in everywhere!

Got my window seals to replace again, so will get VW to have a look then. Cheers

  2. Joe - you need a Gamma head unit to do this - not the one fitted. You can pick these up on eBay cheaply enough. Then you choose either a 6 disk or 1 disk changer that fits in the DIN nice and easy. Again, these are on eBay a lot.

its dead simple and if you sell your other unit on eBay should only cost you about £130.

    cheers

  3. Not meaning to sound too up my own ass I have done a few track days - my last was last October with SeatCupra.net in my Golf MKII 16v.

I have to say that brakes and tyres were shot (I drove as fast as I could everywhere). I also span out and landed on a landing light (it was an old airfield) and had to replace my wheel arch trim. But, it cost 35 quid for the track. There were no 'prats' it was a group of people with like minded ideas.

Track days are THE BEST FUN I HAVE EVER HAD IN A CAR. Forget other roads this is proper big empty space, make your own path type stuff. There is sometimes a slalom and some racing. There were no major incidents at any of the events I have been to, and at the more organised tracks safety is better than the roads!

As for a roll cage I suppose it does happen but you have to (and please do not take this the worng way) be driving like a real c**t (sorry) to roll - especially in a Lupo with wide track!

Are these not designed for the track? Mine appears to have stiff suspension, big brakes, a crazy engine and handling better than a lot of cars that get on tracks.

COME ON!!!! This is a great opportunity to have some real fun. As you can tell I am well up for it!

ClubGTI are organising an unofficial trip to the Nurbergring (sorry about spelling). I am sure anyone can tag along. You just pay 7 euros per lap and have to pay for any debris!
