I know the difference in handling and drivability between the GTI and the 1.9 TDI conversion very well. The GTD is made for the Autobahn, the GTI is made for bendy roads. I like both.

They were sold by Volkswagen, but today they don´t sell them anymore. You have to find used sideskirts at ebay etc .
at the moment i sell at ebay.de a pair of votex sideskirts (votex seitenschweller) . the link is in my last post ^^
maybe i can send them to finland

you mean the side panels @ the grey picture ? these side panels were a Lupo GTI in their last life
the old sideskirts came from votex

my AXR has 160 bhp with original turbo and injectors, i think the ARL is the better PD-engine to get more than 200 bhp
-
the GTD becomes more and more a real GTD
- aluminium doors
- GTI side panels
- GTI rear bumper without tailpipe cutout

The BTC i sold 2009. The car is now in austria, used for hillclimbing.

I think you can cut the weight to 800-850 kg.
My GTI is now at 900kg including 2 Seats and a Rollcage.
GTI/FSI/3LTDI - Aluminium Bodyparts will help a lot. Hood, Fenders, Doors.

- custom intercooler
- GTI brakes
- GTI interior
- Polo TDI 5 speed transmission

The Autobahn A7 is only 4km away and the condition is okay. So i can drive fast nearly whenever i like. The driveabilitiy of the 1.9 TDI on bendy roads is also not so bad as you might think. Its really not compareable to my GTI, but not too bad.
