Best bet IMO is a catch can with a small filter on the outlet. Other wise it will keep releasing the vapours and you might be able to smell it in the cabin.

Hi

Welcome.

Hi Guys
Hoping for some help, my mrs' 1.0 e has quite bad torque steer to left when u press throttle hard, as soon as you ease off it almost kicks front end back to the right. Also if your going 50+ and just touch the steering wheel slightly to left or right it is real twitchy on the front as if its too positive!
It has had wheels balanced, new bottom arm and tracking done, any ideas?
Thanks
Wheel bearing, dodgy ball joint, broken bushes. Maybe.
Also was the tracking done properly?

£10 this won't happen.
Also free bump. -
Welcome.
Lupo + big power = torque steer but most likely broken dreams.

What lights should I be seeing if a fault occurs?
Glow plug light flashes.

Do you use 2 stroke in your diesel. Very common in your area.

What was that kristoffer guys deal. He seemed very irritable to say the least.

To be fair DBlock, Geoff's has had some nice improvements. Rear beam off a sport (so discs all around), OEM Remote central, I'm sure I've read some other stuff.
If mine was on it's way out, I'd bite your hand off Geoff. I think people are scared of high mileage, but I've just clocked 141k on mine and the engine feels tighter than any other car I've had. I still get it up to top speed without a problem. They're designed to take a hammering, and they do it well.
Serviced regularly, taken care of, these cars will pretty much last forever.
I know Geoff's car is mint but at that price people will opt for lower miles over rear discs IMO if they even care for such a thing. Your average gumtree autotrader won't care. Someone on here probably would and be willing to pay but that market is small.

Me either.

Too expensive IMO. Drop it to £800. If it's £30 tax then £900.

10-15 bar with no more than 3 bar between cylinders.
7 bar is considered the worn limit.pasted from caspergti.

My brother has 90odd k miles but has 14" wheels. Now I know the mileage doesn't make a difference as it could have less wear but is it because I'm running 15's the ride is harsher? The original wheels are quite balloony. I think the suspension might get an overhaul soon too though.

Skezza got a link to that thread. That's door is amazing!!

I couldn't see that bit due to being dark and raining. Hmm can it just fail like that. I've had gearboxes go but never a diff.

I have a 2003 Arosa 1.4tdi AMF.
So I was driving along took a corner heard some knocking I thought great my cv joint is on the way and and then bang car stopped moving forward once I had straightened out. Heard something flicking so I thought probably snapped driveshaft. Pushed it to safety got under the car driveshafts look fine. Hmm. Then I remembered there is 2 different cv joints in the lupo/arosa. It's an inner and an outer. Engine works fine, clutch and gears go in fine but when you release the clutch you hear that flapping sound and the car doesn't move.
So if you had to put money on it what would you say it was? I'm guessing inner cv joint. Since I've moved I can't work on the car myself so I'm wanting to order parts before it goes into the garage and then I have to wait for parts to be delivered etc etc.
All help appreciated.

That is true. Front springs where replaced but maybe the shocks and rear have had it. Cheers.
-
Hmm a lot more expensive than I would like though. I'll keep looking.

Luk or Sachs are oem clutch manufactures and that's why they are commonly used. They won't break the bank and are good too.

Roads in stoke aren't too bad luckily
It's just the dual carrigeways when your going 70mph. Maybe I've been spoiled by nicer large cars. I just don't see why the arosa is so harsh at motorway speeds.
-
Hmm. Isn't stock pretty comfortable? The roads must be awful.
On good roads it's perfect. On less than good roads it really crashes. Shocks and springs look like they are in ok condition
Pipe help :)

You can but he is running an induction kit and most silicone elbows or bends don't have a bit to plumb it back in. Plus if it's a sport I wouldnt' anyways since the TB gets really gunked up by the pcv.
