When it came down to the nut the 2nd time, i got my hands on a swan neck spanner and it just spun off, all in all a rather straight forward process No need for a air gun!

Im currently lowering my loop and found im having the same problem with getting the nut off. i didnt think the air gun would have worked, didnt think of maul gripping the shock piston, but as i can see it does so i will be giving it a go! Thanks!

i reccomended that AFTER i had answered his question...

A question in return is WHY would anybody want to know... the simple answer is get to a petrol station... thats why the light comes on in the first place...

I asked the question out of curiosity, its nice to have a idea of how many miles of fuel you have left, when the warning light comes on. thanks for the posts guys!

I've fitted Fly speakers to my loop and weirdly on the drivers side door, the window doesn't wind down all the way, the glass (once drops inside the door) hits the back of the speaker, thus stopping it going all the way down?? :S any ideas on how to resolve the problem?
