  1. Lee once broke the windscreen on a Mk2 Golf of mine when he was trying to swat a fly, he punched at the fly, and squashed it against the screen... putting a 6 inch crack in it blink.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

  2. Another bonus with the mk2 Arosa boot lid is the fact the glass stretches all the way across, looks really cool.

I take you havn't found a car yet then Rach'?

hehe, yeah that is quite a nice touch ain't it wink.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> As for the actual car, no andy, i ain't found one yet, been to look at a few, but they just wern't cuttin' the mustard. I'm in no real rush, i have the cash, so when comes up that i like, i'll 'av it wink.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Seems to me though, that a lot of lupo gti's have either had problems, or still have problems with em, such as paint repairs etc etc... surprises me for cars that are only 5 years old and less.

    See you at edition 38 tomoz wink.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

    rachel.

  3. uhuh, yeah that post inspired me, however, i've always wanted it to use the metal around the badge as well, and not flush like that. I also notice he mentions a little trouble with the wiper, and the badge being so high up, so i though about just using the SEAT bootlid instead, as this is already in the right place to use the mech in order to open the bootlid smile.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I was first inspired by the VW badge placing on the mk3 A59, thats what i want it to look like.

    Rachel.

  4. Unless it will have a golf handle grafted on, to replace the seat handle.

Always thought that would be a nice mod to a lupo gti.

yeah, i want to graft in a mk5 golf badge/handle. the plan is to chop out the metal around the seat badge, and graft in the metal from a mk5 golf bootlid. That way, i should be able to work something out in terms of the badge being a handle, seeing though the seat has its badge in that specific location to start with - well thats the plan anyways.

so all in all, it will fit then.

    Rachel.

  5. Hey guys... i'm starting to collect bits ready for my lupo GTi, and was wondering if a SEAT Arosa tailgate will bolt onto a lupo, or does it have different brackets/hinge mechs etc etc. I am aware of the badge being the handle difference, but i'm mor concerned as to how it will actually fit on as a body panel?

    any help much appreciated.

    rachel

  9. It gets worse!!! I got an email today saying...

    - Sorry to mess you around, but don't bother organising a trip over to see it, I'v just sold it back to the dealership.

Thats ok, she needed to get rid of it quickly to pay off her debts as shes off traveling around Australia... but then I read on...

    - They gave me 5,000 for it, which is less than I wanted but had to sell it fast and was worried you wouldn't like it when you saw it.

    WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!! wtf.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wtf:" border="0" alt="wtf.gif" />

I'm half annoyed at the fact she accepted 5k for it, as I could have done that, paid the VAT bill, and still been happy, and half annoyed that the dealer has completly screwed her evil.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="evil.gif" />

    pffft dry.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="<_<" border="0" alt="dry.gif" />

If anyone spots a nice one with all the toys ( I do like my toys), please let me know biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

  10. Now that I'v sold my Golf, I'v been searching high and low for a really good GTI, and last week one came up that caught my eye. It was black, 6 speed, low millage, and the killer air-con & sunroof combo cool.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> The only problem was, I'd have to go over to Guernsey to fetch it... but thats not so bad... I'v got a friend in Poole, so did a bit of research into the ferry crossings, and everything is easy-peasy.

Then someone suggested that as the Channel islands are tax free I might have to pay import duty confused.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> So I spent an hour on the phone yesterday to the DVLA, and Customs & excise, only to be finaly told that it would cost a fortune to bring it over as I'd have to pay VAT on the purchase price doh.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />

I't would be cheeper to bring one over from Germany... now thats an idea wink.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
