  1. I echo the above; make sure it's memorable for the right reasons!

    For some reason I think it's cooler someone posting about getting a GT3 on a Lupo forum than I am jealous. Have fun smile.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

But the benchmark is my Lupo and I know I will get away with telling you lot! wink.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Not so on Pistonheads or PCGB!

I'll let you know how it GO>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ES.

  2. jammy git..

    have fun!! biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Well you've seen Ferris Bueller's day off?

I have the car for a week with tank of petrol to be delivered to Europe. On the ferry Sat.

    SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

1.Do I get up early and drive around Scotland stopping for lunch at some place nice in Skye?

    2. Leave it parked all week until it is time to go on the ferry?

    3. Take it up to Knockhill and get an hour on track

    4. 1 & 3?

    shades.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />

Difficult choice but 4 I think!

  3. Looks like a poor replica of a 993 TT probably made by Bugaro.

The colour resembles arena red which was available from the initial launch of the TT in 1994/95.

Alloys are hollow spoke affair to reduce unsprung weight. In your case those they will be plastic affairs!

4 WD tamed the Turbo beast of previous 911Ts. Still a podger and not the lightest 911 to be made!

Oh my GT3 mk1 is coming tonight. Can't wait to give it a blast on the twisty bits and then across Europe!

Life is a bitch! Spa next week so pray for good weather!

  4. all i know about nelson mandela is that he should be freed, laugh.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I have met him and shaken his hand!

    One cool dude! shades.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />

  5. I have never been in a Ferrari before, being a dedicated Porsche/VW man, I had always chosen these options when out shopping for a new shoppping trolley.

So last night I got my first spin in a 355 in Rosso. Interior was that lovely crema leather and the glorious H box in stainless. Only downside was a Ferrari labelled cassette player! CD changer was in the bonnet.

I managed to get reasonably comfortable inside and off we went..............

Bl@@dy hell these things can shift! 350bhp(?) and light weight must help. The most impressive thing was how it hugged the road through the corners. Flat as a pancake even although we were pushing along. Brakes are Brembos same as the Porsche. BUT the fronts are the same size as my rears on the CS and RS!

    Will this thing stop?

So we get to a really tight bend and I am begining to relax at the warp speeds we have been taking the corners at.

BIG MISTAKE! My driver decides to have some fun and heel toes to 2nd and then floors the throttle as we exit the bend. The back end starts to slide and we drift round the corner. Fantastic stuff!

Later on as I again had got used to his party piece he overcooked the exit to this tight corner and around we went. Full 180 on the tarmac!

I felt sorry for the poor bu@@er behind in his Japanese Turbo thingy that we had just despatched prior to the corner.

He must have got a fright as he came around the corner to see the red Ferrari coming straight back towards him...................

Anyway Knockhill was a hoot last night with all sorts of crap allowed out for Hot Marques! Escort Mk2, Novas etc

Oil all over the track and I was seriously happy that I did not drive the RS!

  6. Sounds like the water in the rear may have got into the ECU. Sometimes under the passenger seat. Dehumidify the interior and check the ECU is dry.

Idleing the car should reset the ECU after battery swap/charge.

If the revs are jumping the computer will be trying to change gear up/down.

Get it plugged into a VAG computer for the fault codes.

  7. I got rid of mine at 125K miles. Was eating the cash and rusting badly.

If you can avoid the tin worm and do maintenance yourself it is not bad.

Do the bushes and dampers as mine were shot and had some major oversteer moments at low speeds. Scarey stuff.

Engine is bullet proof. Only the rubber hoses gave problems.

I would have a low mileage Storm again!

Saying that CS is a big step up for me.

  8. Will be up on Tuesday 6-8pm if anybody wants a wurl?

Will have the RSR( the one in the Spa video) and the RS up for a blast.

Weather looks Ok from the 5 day forecast but then you can't tell as it is KH!

    Charles

  9. Are you serious? Something to do with a round ball and somebody wanting to bring it home. Same hype every time followed by calls to sack the coach!

Seem to have done that first so Believe it or not they are coming home with or without the cup.

Don't you wish it was all over bar the weeping!
