true , but i do quite a few miles in it in towns and up and down the a38 , i seen 3 modified lupos the other day when i was coming back from stafford but didnt seen to get spotted

GEARBOX HAS DIED

because mate it is urgent for work , but the gearbox has already been worked on once and i cant be arsed again. thats why

yep wasnt quite sure how to check but the welds are still good. any better way of checking ??

as i have put in another thread my gear box in my 1.4 has started f*cking up today , and if it needs a new gear box i would rather buy another engine, will a polo gti or a lupo gti engine fit on the original mounts ???

my gearbox has just staring f*cking up , its not whining , just on he way home from work was hard to get in gears and kept popping out of gear and made some very weird noises but not whining. can anybody shine some light ?? i have read the gearbox thread but i need some more accurate information to my prombel , cheers

thanks for all the comments not as helpfull as expected, but truthfull so thankyou. going to get a stage 2 remap and afew other little bits , i will rolling road it and post my results.

i have got a raceland manifold and a full custom stainless system with a pipercross forced induction kit. was gonna get a custon remap but wasnt gonna waste the money before looking at other stuff

Hey mate i understand that, and to be honest i wouldnt mind paying for a proper job but so far i have been unseccsussful at finding a place that would fit a supercharger, and i have had to quotes for a 1.8t 20v conversion , JBS AUTODESIGNS was £7,500 + VAT and another was £5,000 + VAT and i cant afford that much. cheers.

the problem is i would probably think **** it and just strip the lupo down and get my cousin round who used to be a mechanic and get me a 1.8t and have a shot at fitting it , but i need the car for work , so it would have to be done over a long weekend. but dont think thats possible in that time frame

polo gti are 125bhp , if i was gonna go through the trouble i would want at least 160bhp

possibly , but what engine would be a sensible choice, easy install , and keep under the £2000 mark.

well mate by a bit of knowledge i mean , i can fit a new clutch do a service , change gaskets, , so if you would rather i will put that i have a tiny bit of knowledge

Hello. i have decided that i want more power out of my lupo and i cant afford a engine conversion. i do have a bit of mechanical knowledge but not enough to do a engine conversion so i want to fit a supercharger, i have looked through nearly all the posts on here and to be honest its all jargon , could somebody explain in black and white how much it would cost for a supercharger conversion and were i can get the parts from and what is needed. Thank you By the way i have a 1.4 100bhp sport with already a raceland manifold.
