  1. Hmm, would of thought someone would of done this or there would be a replica out seems to be gti lookalike products for every other vw lol. That ones close but really don't wanna debadge front end.

    Thanks

  2. Tried searching abit but kept getting debadged grills come up instead. Is there a honeycomb grill (gti style) for the non gtis? I know the gti one wont fit but wondering if any aftermarket ones were made as looking to possibly change to one instead of colour coding/debadgeing

    Thanks

  3. As mentioned her work is doing all the paintwork free of charge so it can always be changed if it looks rubbish, the silver grill is to help the purple detailing stand out more. Wheels are hockenheim style wheels, similar looking to these:

  4. Removed original badge on girlfriends lupo as with the black rubber surround thing it looks terrible IMO, went for the sharan badge option but now the recess around is bugging me. Is there any others that are a better fit? Looked at mk5 handles as they seem about the same size as the lupo but without the rubber surround? Pics of what others have done would be great.

    Thanks

  5. Basically went to de rubstrip her car today, one side was fine all done went to start on the other side and found the paint under the strip was crap all bubbled and chipped so now looks like gunna have to get some more and refit them, just wondering if anyone knows the price of both strips? and wether they can be bought painted or not?

    Thanks

  6. One of the ideas am toying with is painting the front and back vw badges (and possibly vw on center caps) in same colours as will be doing the wheels.

centercaps will be hand painted I'd imagine and front badge looks pretty easy, but the back badge confuses me as it seems to be made up of 2 pieces and not sure how to split them as would like to do the black bit silver to match the car, anyone? Also would be interested to see any ones other people have done :)

The alloys we are looking are 7jX15 with ET38 would these be an ok fit? As don't wanna have to roll the arches, also what would be the lowest it could go on these without causing problems?

    Thanks

  7. Thanks for the advice guys, may have found some dished polo alloys in need of a refurb local to me, they are 7js thinking about maybe running some 175s on them for little bit of stretch.

  8. Looking at things for the girlfriends new car (52 plates silver lupo 1.4s) and would like some advice, I have had a look round and started off with what I knew was bit of debadging on the rear and pressed plates (ordering soon) plan is:

-new springs (want it low but useable as her daily driver, also on budget so collies are abit much)

-new wheels (something with a little bit of dish, maybe stretched tyres too)

    -bit of camber

-Possibly match the VW badges if go for coloured wheels

-reiger front splitter, cc the back lower bumper and abt sidesirts

-Interior changed for a darker grey/black one

-Audio will be taken care of by Sonic Frontiers

Basically after some opinions on the plans. Would also like some recommendations on the springs, wheels & camber shims please.

    Thanks

    Shane

  9. Hi I'm Shane

I'm from bristol, I don't own a lupo myself but the girlfriend has just bought one so thought maybe a good idea to sign up here to learn abit more about them and whats available for them. Few of you may know me as I recognised some names from Talkaudio & Vagowners

    Thanks
