  1. Try Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5W-30, or Mobil 1 Extended Life 10W-60,
  2. I use castrol edge 5W-30, and its only used 1 litre of oil over 5K miles, but my sport is still under 50K. i know ur after something thicker but its just a thought/alternative,
  3. My sport which has the standard exhaust setup, has started to hiss slightly and blow at the backbox, its blowing on the backbox where a small circle shaped part comes out of the backbox, it faces the rear of the car, other sport owners with the standard setup will understand what i mean, its rotted and rusted alot as its been on the car from new the exhaust, im just wondering if this part can be welded or do i just need a new back box? cheers
  4. Is ther a pic of the Mk3 golf with the wooden pallet on the roof or micra that was covered in grass?
  5. Last time i had it read was at awsome gti, it came back with the lambda sensor fault twice and 2 other faults, with the injectors having an intermittent fault on cylinders 1 and 3, and thers no way it has a missfire, its not down on power at all, and like i sed above pulls and idles fine, il just have to read it in the morning and take it from ther cheers for the info
  6. The ECU light keeps flagging up on my dash on my sport, it used to come on itermittently and eventually stayed on, the fault was the lambda sensor bank 1, this has now been replaced with a brand new 1, 3 weeks later its come back on tonight, ive not had chance to read the fault code, but does any1 else have a problem with ther ECU light coming on, wen the car runs fine, idles fine and pulls well, i know the sports are prone to problems more than other specs, its driving me cheers
  7. Il come aslong as im not alone

    Mk1 Arosa

thats quite abit of work/hassle, its not for me but arosa713 who's bought a mk1, i think either sticking with the mk1 front which i personally like, or selling on, and holding out for a mk2 would be the best options.
  9. I fitted my amp and sub last week, had no idea how to do it on a lupo, but fitted it on my old car so just thought id have ago, went ok took me a long time tho, i found it easy enough to fit the cables behind the dash n didnt realy take any of the dash apart, thers not loads of room, but depends what your used to, just take your time and plenty of brews helped me get it done

    Mk1 Arosa

As above, can it be done? how easily? will it need new bumpers bonnet grill lights wings etc ? cheers
  11. Cheers for the response, i ended up just using the earth that the rear light cluster uses,
  12. where abouts does everyone else ground their amps?
  13. Hi, in a lupo wheres the best place to earth the amp in the boot? cheers

    195/50/r15

My lupo is lowered 60mm on 15's, 6.5J ET38 with 45 profile and that catches when cornering hard but the rubbing on the arch is minimal, and only on the plastic part
  16. No ive just used coppergrease to try and lubricate the hole, but i will try that first, the spiggot rings i have are wrong size i have 56.6, insted of 57.1, but ive ordered some and should be here in afew days, along with new wheel bolts, and lock nuts. im lowered 60mm at the front and have 15inch alloys 6.5wide offset 38 with 195/45 tyres that have started to catch at the front should this be hapening?
  17. Looks top sat on the RH cups, IMO, just need some cambridge rear lights now, Get some more pictures of lewey up
  18. Is offset for a lupo 38 and the lupo gti 43? or the other way round?
  19. Yeh i think i will replace it just to be safe, cant understand how its has hapened, i dont have my wheels off and on the car alot, the only thing is with the alloys the spigot ring is slightly tight and you some time have to tighten the bolts up to get the wheel on, rather than just placing the wheel on an tighening the nuts, i do tighten the wheels up with a torque bar and dont cross thread the bolts
  20. Ok cheers, is the offset for a lupo 38 and the lupo gti 43?
  21. Hi, i took my alloy off tonight and two of the wheel bolts were completely stripped and un-useable, the other two were fine, i tried to put new bolts into the holes with the wheel off and it just stripped those aswel, can you re-thread hubs, or do u just have to buy new? Any idea of price? thanks
  22. Fitted the kit on friday, took a while but got there in the end, im very pleased with the result, there was 4 of us in the car yesterday, no rubbing or knocking on the arches or on full lock, but my rims are only 6.5 wide and offset 38, so i wasnt expecting any, the ride is firm but not uncomfortable, the handleing is much better, great result from bilstein's
