  1. Hi all, random problem started up a few months ago and ive had a quick search on here to no avail so hopefully someone knows...

Basically when the passenger door is opened on my car the window's will drop down, although the passenger side only opens 3/4 and driver all the way. I have checked the wiring at the join between the passenger door and body and nothing appears to be getting caught in typical VAG fashion (although i havent fully removed the padding/tape) and i have pulled the passenger door card off and put my hand inside the door and everything feels fine from what i can tell.

Yesterday i investigated further by pulling the kick panel from the passenger footwell where the connector blocks are for the window wiring/speakers etc and again they look fine. When i disconnected the window wiring block and reconnected it the passenger window went down fully then, so that double confirms its not getting caught on anything.

I have noticed around the same time the windows started going down that anytime i do something electrical like switch on lights, press brake pedal, doors auto lock etc, that i will hear an electrical click through the speakers like something is earthing oddly. Everything works 100% besides that.

Any idea's or suggestions on where to look/do?

    Thanks, Gary

  2. i bought the £80 spoiler, but theres three more, trouble is theyre in germany! the brake light on your lupo comes out and the gti spoiler and brake light fits nicely in the hole

It must be a Sport spoiler then as is the GTI brake light not different and you have to buy that as an addition? Pretty sure ive seen that in other threads on here.

I have a hard to find MS design spoiler that has one of the very corner edges just broken off. Its only the very tip and an easy fix for any bodyshop or if you're handy with a bit of pon/fibre glass :) Unused and unpainted. Your original brake light fits into the hole for it also.

  3. Good to see you're keeping up the woman stance and doing what you're put on this earth for.......... CLEANING :tongueout:

Wouldnt be too sold on the red sprayed bits, both interior and bonnet, but looks as if you've done a good job on the rest :) If you ever get bored of the rubber gromet let me know, i have an unused glass blanking plate kicking about for the boot ;)

    UP THE AROSA'S!!! :D

  4. They place a reflective backing onto plastic plates, so it doesn't matter that they are not plastic, they still have the same backing on (not paint...)

    Correct.

Was away hunting there on a local car forum of mine with info from local plod and a plate maker who has also checked with our DVA (same regs as DVLA) and its exactly has been pointed out by the plate manufacturer to you in the emails. I see on your plate you even have the BSAU145d requirements and are marked. You also have GB which is fine. Your plates look legal font from what it appears in the photos. The yellow looks a bit odd i must say but again its maybe the photo?

Check this out: http://www.direct.go...lates/DG_181503 Even says there 3D is legal if they met all the requirements. Measure your characters and spacing as detailed there (doubt its wrong) and if it all meets the requirements id go down to the local station where this guy is based and ask to speak to either that officer or the one in charge and take a copy of that directgov page and politely explain.

The only thing i have a doubt over is the fact the post code and BS is not on the actual plate but a border, not sure that makes a difference? I'll ask and see :)

  5. Do not pay the fine and roll over. If they are spaced correctly with the right font and the minimum amount of border and BS stamped on them, then your pressed plates are perfectly legal.

I'll try and find out the exact in's and out's for you and report back. Sounds like a complete jobsworth and you'd be better going down and speaking with his commanding officer about it and see if they can quash it for you before any court balls.

  6. get a small flat head screw driver, towards the top of the lower din put the screwdriver in the left corner, and pull out that side, do the same for the right and it should pop out. does not matter which corner you do first that's just the way i did it haha

Sorry to bump/ask this again, but i presume this is the same as what you need to do for the mk2 Arosa in dash cup holders?

There's just a coupl of tabs on the sided keeping it in place? Had a quick look the other week but couldnt see anything obvious so dont wanna bust nout lol :D
