Right
Best way to start this!!
when you open the doors your want the neons on but not the side lights(if side lights are off)
when you turn the side lights you want the neons on
to achieve this! take positive from the side lights to a BOX
take the door switch positive to a BOX
this BOX should join the 2 connections!! then to the neons
on both side you want a electrical component called a diode, this allows power to flow one way but not the other!! so when the doors open the side lights dont come on but noens on and when the side lights are on the neons are on but not the door light
hope this helps mail me if u need help

Yeah you could use a bit of T cut to begin with, everyone slates it but for bad swirls it takes the edge off. My dad has just bought a black 55 reg 330d and the paint was so flat it just looked cloudy. Quick once over with t cut, once over with SRP and then a coat of Meg's Carnauba Wax, and it looks 100x better. At that point now where its not going to get better by hand, but the difference is amazing. Just keep on top of it with the wax and it should come up nicely when you wash it.
good taste, i use the exact same combo, ok hate it when dad asked me to help him with his vauxhall estate took ages to do lol

I read somewhere SRP being like that, and its great for that, but i may try meguiars scratchX see if that does anything. oh and stonechips! tell me about it, my car is peppered with them, mind you what do you expect from a 7 year old car. Although the main reason for the fine scratches is that the previous owner clearly took the car to a petrol station car wash and used the dreaded brush!
take it from me the older the car the harder it gets 13 year old rosa this year!!
T Cut and a good wax thats all i used n its coming out all good nowadays mum never cared for the car :<
did take me a few good cleans and recoats to get it all good

Right,
i'm 20 and have being driving my mums car whist she wasn't using it!.
first real modification came as a needs must so ordered some M3 mirrors, looked cooler than MK1 arosa!and were cheaper.
had them fitted a year and was at a scrap yard looking round and noticed that the cars all have the same mirror motors fitted as standard.
since mine were mechanical me and the dad grabbed a few motors and some switching from a vw polo.
ive relised these will fit the basic shell and should fit most others mirror units so if u want electric mirrors here is where i will be posting the how to! thinks its in the best place, still a newby at all this!
i will try to post some pictures as i have them and the circuit diagram will soon follow.
just need to work out the best place to put the switch? any ideas will be good?
hope this helps anyone who is after the same ideas.
should have remote central locking and electric windows posting following
just a summer project for me you see

When I saw the title of this topic I lol'd.
When I bought my lupo the drivers side lock was fully broke (lock keeps spinning) so I'm not sure if the locks have a common fault
ebay i got for the arosa the door lock fix for 15 quid, ill see if i have the file to strip door locks then you just need to source bits quick trip to breakers and that should do it!! might have some spares here! in tool box wont need mine as im going remote central locking n removing my lock to make it harder to brake into
just looked for the doc on pc and found it if u pm me with an email address ill send you it! full guide to strip door locks

New user to all this!!
my route sounds bad to start with but worked. Being 19 i wanted myslf a sub, got my mates xplod from him with amp for 40 quid.
my routing was simple after being told by halfrauds that i would need to remove most of my dash to fine the wireing loom. drilled a 5mm hole above the blower fan, and in the blower air box. sounds crude, bing driving with it 2 months all told no problem. All i did was ise epoxy resin to stop the wire falling into the fan.
good solution if uou ask me!
A tricky one for all you clever cookies
