  1. Sure I've done this before somewhere but here goes

Passed my test in 89 in a Vauxhall Corsa

Then brought a MK1 Polo that died and I brought a

Ford Sierra Estate that fell to pieces so I brought a

Vauxhall Cavelier that went as part exchange for

6N Polo that was sold due to medical issues then I brought a

MK2 Jetta which exploded the day before I was due to exchage for the Lupo

    I now have the Lupo

not bad for 19 years driving on and off, i have surprised myself

  2. I have only ever had one problem with paypal. I sold a full set of freinds, skyline version with the exception of series 10. I advertised as only selling in UK due to postage costs. I had an interested buyer from an expat in Paris begging to sell to them and they would cover extra cost by buying all but series 10 at cost of highest bid. Agreed and sent fully international signed for, cost a little extra for peace of mind. After 2 weeks I received an email from the buyer asking for a full refund as not sold as description on ebay. I said no way as description was exactly as items were and there were photos. A week later I got a message from paypal and ebay saying there was a dispute ongoing as buyer wants refund on goods. Went through about 4 more weeks of emails and contacts with ebay and ebay ruled in my favour as I had put good photos online and they could see that there was no damage to the set. Buyer was not happy as I got my funds released. They then told me that it must have been damaged in transit so could I set up a claim with Post Office. I did but never heard anything. After about 3 months I got an email from buyer asking how the claim was going. I had already been in touch with PO and they said that they had never had a reply from the Paris customer so are still waiting for a response. I told the buyer and they said they had never heard anything from PO about claim and said they were liars. I told them that I could do no more and it was now down to them. Not heard anything now for nearly a year...it may be all over LOL

  3. Shoe shops seem to be different than clothes shops as you never, in my experience, get a sales assistant to come over to you to ask for help or give you advise. You have to go up to the sales assistant when you have chosen your shoe and wait for them to stop talking to their mate before you can ask for the other shoe to try on. They disappear for ages and then leave you with the shoe and walk off. I hate shopping for this reason so do my shopping online.

Not much help but theres my opinion(f/37/Ward Clerk)

  4. My biggest pet hate is people parking opposite our driveway and when we want to get out we have to gingerly back out so not to hit them. If I had an old jalopy I would just reverse out and hit them and if they said anything I would let them know in no uncertain terms it was there fault for parking inconsideratly. Ignorant gits. :angry2::angry2:

  5. Someone I used to work with went there. He couldn't decide so he did a couple of days in Moscow and then caught the overnight train to St Petersburg, a great experince. He was glad he did as he enjoyed both places. He did say that Moscow was a bit scary though as the Russian Mafia are a big presence there. He said there were alot of big black cars with blacked out windows driving around and their tour guide told them not to go away from the tourist spots on their own and don't upset anyone. He said every now and then you noticed people in big coats with guns under them. He felt alot more comfortable in St Petersburg.

  6. Thanks Trig. The left side of my boot is wet and there was a pool of water under my carpet when I took that out to dry it. My back window jet works ok but I don't use it that much which is why I think the pipe may have perished over my wheel arch so gonna try there first.

I'll let you know when I find out.

Sorry Luna I was doing my course waork all weekend so did not see your message until today but thanks anyway.

  7. Right I took out the carpet in the boot as it was sodden and there was a pool of water on the left hand side under the carpet. I tried to get the plastic casing off but I can't find how to do it. There are 2 screws in the boot on the back but it only loosens the back plastic cover. I know this is a girlie question but could somebody explain how I get the plastic covering off so I can check my rear wash pipe.

    Many thanks

  8. I went out at the weekend with my friend and she sat in the back of my car with her daughter. She had to get out as my seats were wet through. This was only picked up then as no one uses the back as I only drive the car. I have taken my seats out to dry but the backs are not wet. My brother had a check for me and said that he could feel damp in the following places

    Both rear footwells

    Carpet wet in boot

Left hand wall side of the boot

There are no pools of water anywear just carpet wet/damp.

Has anyone got any ideas were I could start to look, I have not got a sunroof so it is not that

    It is a 2001 1.0l model

All help would be very much appreciated

    Thanks
