  1. LOVE the number plate! slag!

haha cheers, was just going after the last 3 letters for my initials, only realised when i put it on what it said :P

yh the lights split opinion with my mates as well, was looking at a spoiler a while a go. But quite a lot for what they are and at the time no SEAT dealers could get hold of any. (SEAT ones were cheapest and most discrete imo)

  2. Very clean and tiny, Headlights look cool but I cant stand dim lights, put some HIDs behind them sould brightened things up.

    Thanks

Will do when i get some time spare

    All good so far.

Are you getting springs or coilovers to lower it?

    Matthew.

Hopefully coilovers, but have no money atm haha

Like i said, had the car for about 2 years now, been tinkering with a few things, but havn't got the money to lower yet :(

so, here's all my tinkering so far in one fat lump...

    After a good clean

Then i decided to spray my door handles, air vents and speedo cover 'piano black' :P

After getting working some overtime around last Feb, had my rear windows tinted, was worried i'd end up looking like some chav but i think it makes the wraparound glass at the back stand out :)

Then as the evenings were getting longer i borrowed my mate and his sis (who works doing vinyl graphics for vans and buses) and did my roof gloss black :D

And here's some photos of it barely visible in the dark :P

Oh, and at this time i managed to drive through a Fjord too quickly and rip the black bottom bit of the bumper apart, also managed to knock out the grill which floated away before i could grab it :( (hence the whole where the SEAT badge was and the string keeping the bumper together)

Anyway, got the parts through my dad's mate that works in a body shop and fitted them. Problem solved :D

Then decided to Lamin-x my front lights, in gunsmoke. Does make a difference to the brightness of your lights, but the website claims it's legal, car passed it's MOT fine and i havn't been pulled yet. Just a little nerve-racking in fog or heavy rain

That's pretty much where i am at the minute =]

  4. the chrome grille trim things do come off, even the outer ones are glued onto like the rim of the grille, not attatched to the bumper at all.

maybe heat it up a bit?

I piggled and gently pulled at them until they came off. left a mess of the actual grille though.

  5. i'm quite dense when it comes to this kind of stuff,

Aquired a Kenwood KFC-W2502 10" sub from a family friend.

looking to fit it but not sure what amp to get.

looked on the back and it's 4ohms impedance and peak power 400w

Does this mean any amp i get has to be 400w or less?

And i'm just looking at a 2 channel amp, is this right?

obviously i have to get a wiring kit aswell, is there anything else i should be thinking about?

Sorry if i'm asking obvious questions,

    any help appreciated.

  6. hi

we've had all the symptoms on the Arosa.

it's 6 years old with 30,000miles so by my reckoning eligible for goodwill?

Called up our nearest SEAT garage and they wanted the chassis no. before they would say anything. They then said that there has never been any problems or recalls on Arosa's.

so we took it to a VW dealer and they said yes, the pedal box had gone but it was brought on by a heavy clutch and as it was a SEAT they would not offer goodwill but would happily charge £800 for a new box and clutch. They also denied that they've had problems with any Lupo's.

Then we tried calling up a different SEAT dealer but they said goodwill was only available if you had bought something from them previously.

tried the local garage that does me dad's work vans and they said it would still be about £600/700

Has anyone managed to get an Arosa done at a VW garage on goodwill?

is it worth calling literally every SEAT dealer in the midlands?

has anyone else managed to get anywhere in this area?

    cheers.

  7. hi

I was looking at getting a roof spoiler from Seat for my Arosa, but a guy my dad knows at a bodyshop said not to bother with just bonded spoilers as they fall off really easy.

Had a look around the forum and seen people saying that just bonding works fine but they're quite old topics now.

So I just wondered if anyone has installed one recently or has had one for a while and how it was holding up.

    cheers
