  1. Hi folks,

I was wondering if maybe someone could look at their headlight plug and post the wires order/colors for me that are in it (we talking non GTI). I have to put back the original headlights into the mrs. Lupo for the MOT but cant find the list of the wires I made before fitting GTI xenons  . Any diagram should do the job nicely too ;)

    Thanks very much,

    Stan

  2. the ashtray itself just pulls out, the centre console is held in by the two under trays i think and two screws under them, theres also two plastic bolts under the gear gaitor.

i assume you have a lupo or an arosa mk2 the mk1 arosa is diferent. theres a button on the bottom of the ash tray that acts as a release.

    Thanks CopeyCupra,

So in order to get behind ashtray I need to remove the centre console? :(

Still confused about how to remove it tho, lol

  3. Well I did it this week and WOW!!!!! Awesome!!!

Didnt have to chop any car bits off to get them fit, just had to remove the induction noise hose which didnt make any difference. So if anyone wants to upgrade their headlights to xenons it can be done :shades:.

The wires have to be switched around in the main headlight loom + you need to run extra ground to each xenon. Also there was an issue with main beam but that we got sorted by splicing into the stalk in the steering column.

It took me and my mate almost 5 hours to do it. But it was well worth it!!!

If anyone needs any help or pics etc. fire away :coffee:

This is the best upgrade so far and xenons look so good on a white car :wub:

  4. I will be fitting the xenons to the Mrs.Loopy at some stage this week, and just wanted to see if anyone knows the pin layout in the wiring for them (GTI ones). I read that few members did it here, but I didnt find any specific info about it. I know I'll have to chop few bits off to get them fit which wont be a huge problem, but I would like to get the wiring done properly. Would there be any additional plugs/looms required or could I just swap the pins inside the plug in order they should be?

    Any tips/pics/help is highly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Stan

  5. You need the number of the radio (it's on the sticker)+ chassis number of the original car that the radio came from if you want to get a code from VW. Afaik there are people who can get you the code as well but I wouldn't know much about that.

If it was me I would see if anyone here has one for sale with the code really. VW or other sources could charge you few bob for

    it.

  6. Isn't at least one cup holder installed in every Lupo as standard in the front?

I got second one to substitute the coin tray from the stealers for about €25 all in (without the face plate-waiting for it ;)) and apparently its the same as Audi A6/A4 I was told by the Parts Department fella :)

Is GTi one any different?

  7. Or forget any of the choices and go for xcarlink ;)

It will connect to your original radio and play mp3s from USB stick.

Had that in the R32 up until I sold my MFD satnav, now Mrs. has it in the Loopy.

You just get an USB stick/SD card create folders with music on it and off you go :D.

Works great and also if you already have cd player/changer it will still work as well
