Hi everybody, just put my loop through it's annual service and I thought I'd do a quick review of VW Wolsey dealership. Initial Call On my initial call I was quoted £140 for the service and £260 for a cambelt change. Both of these figures are wrong, the actual prices being lower (£138 and £217 respectively). All the staff members I spoke to were very friendly, helpful and not at all patronizing. First Impressions The dealership itself is very nice. The atmosphere is trendy, relaxed, clean and tidy. The lady on reception was particularly friendly and I was offered a wide range of refreshments. The guys on the service desk were generally good, although I did spend a fair amount of time waiting to be served and it would have been nice to have been acknowledge rather than just left hangin'. Service I can't fault the service itself, everything looks just dandy and they took care of my loop just fine. Strangely the drivers door strap which had been rattling away to the bass seems to have calmed down. It also appears that they cleaned out the window wash lines, so the jets are now evian fresh... unfortunately they did leave mucky residue over my nice clean windows. The gentleman I spoke to was knowledgeable They did forget to stamp my service history though, so I had to pop back in to get everything signed off. Cost Despite me asking for the £138 annual inspection they went ahead and did the 40K service which should be £188. I'm not too miffed at this though, since i'm only 300 miles short of 40K which is 2 weeks driving for me and they only charged me £180 all-in, including oil, plugs, sparks and filters . Clearly someone there can't do their sums... They also managed to flog me some screen wash even though I'd topped it off the day before. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":angry2:" border="0" alt="angry.gif" /> that's £1.60 + vat I'll never see again! Cambelts I know there has been a lot of discussion over when the loop need it's cambelt changed. All I can say is that mine his done just shy of 40K and they assured me that it didn't yet need changing with no sign of fraying or cracks. I guess it depends on the car and the way it's been driven, mine was previously owned by a national trust member after all! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Conclusion Overall I have to say that I was pretty satisfied and will be going back for next years job. Cheers guys!
