Hi, As the title does anyone know of the weight of 1.6 gti and 1.4 tdi engines. I am thinking about whether the 1.4 tdi would benefit from gti suspension and arb/ strut brace. Oh, better think about some larger runner to.

Hi, it's not a big thing just a change of injectors and see how much the standard turbo copes. Maybe uprate the turbo and keep an eye out on the egt's. Then cheap brakes and the suspension upgrade

Hi the atl injectors are comparitively rare compared with asz/ arl 550 injectors. It is possible to add the vg/ n75 code to the ecu but I think it would be more cost effective to 'hybridise' the current electronic wastegate actuated turbo. A USA based forum discussed the option of cutting a runner off the manifold of a 4 cylinder tdi engine but this seems a bit heath robinson to me. I think cylinder head problems are often associated with excessive heat and trying to maximise torque output (via mapping). I would think about either uprating the intercooler or adding water methanol injection system into the inlet manifold.

Hi, yes was going to uprate the turbocharger to 15/49 or hopefully 1749 spec. if possible. It's possible to buy used 550 pd injectors for around 100 pounds a set.

Hi, Has anyone got any thoughts about 'upgrading' the lupo 1.4 tdi by fitting gti suspension shocks and springs. Also, does the gti have front/ rear roll bars that can be fitted. Best wishes

Hi, I think I should rephrase the question. You see I got quite frustrated by waiting for cars to go over sleeping policeman at around walking pace 3-4 mph that had been lowered and wondered what kind of drop would not make me worried about it scraping the ground Cheers
