  1. Hi there, for about a month the driver's seat has been jamming when it is pulled forward. The little handle, as far as I can see, pulls on two wires which must free catches which lock it in place. The door side of the seat comes free, but it seems like the wire is loose or has stretched on the side in the centre of the car. this side always jams and it is getting worse. How can I get into the workings to see if the wires can be tightened up? Thanks
  2. Hi all, for about 3 months now the passenger door has been making three clunks as it is opened. It also makes 3 clunks when it is closing but not as loud. I searched on here and found people solved the problem by taking off the rubber guard where the gold strap comes out of the door, and inside are 2 10mm bolts. Both were pretty tight already, but I got them a couple of turns tighter. unfortunately it hasn't made the slightest difference to the noise. It sounds like it is coming from further inside the door, like where the strap is attached. How on earth do I get inside to have a look? Thanks for any help
  3. Hi, I parked up beside a nice GTI lupo today and took a peek inside and it had a chrome surround around each dial and also the top part, not sure what it is called - a sort of sill over all the dials - had a gloss black edge all around. Looked really good and I was wondering if anybody can direct me to where to get these accessories? Cheers
  4. Hi there, I am planning my first change to the car to be either a CD changer in the boot or a connection for my iPod - the latter preferred. I have looked around loads of shops online and narrowed the options for connections for my iPod. The burning question I have is can I install cables through/behind my dash easily? And if I wanted to go for a changer in the boot how big a job is it to install? I'm gussing that it would be easier to connect my iPod rather than install a changer. So I am either going to buy an FM transmitter for the iPod or buy a new head unit which will playback music from an iPod. I haven't looked at any head units yet, but I'd like to know whether or not the standard beta radio can have an iPod plugged into it with a cable? I took out the head unit today and had a look but there are no obvious connections. My dad has an alpine head unit in his saab which came with a cable that goes directly from the ipod to the head unit. I take it my beta head unit can't do this? Any advice on which head unit to buy would be great, and I'd prefer something that I can easily play my iPod through, budget is £300 max. Thanks
