what grade oil is best to use in a 1.4 lupo 16v i have been using normal 10w 40w but what do others recomend style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":confused:" border="0" alt="confused.gif" />

were is the best place to buy a new alternator from style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

got my car back sfter 3 weeks in the garage at a total cost of £1390 i had 8 bent valves , new stem seal guides ,new valve stem oil seals ,head reskimmed ,new piston rings fitted new bolts all over the place new water pump cam belt ,all the adjusters changed all decoked and cleaned and it runs like a dream touch wood style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

its on 2 dvds and a cd big prog but well woth the install on the pc its full of every thing you could want to know full vw part numbers on as well so if you need the part but dont know what they call it you have the part number ,,,i sent burch a copy for free but as the cost of postage has gone up i cant afford to do any more for free but if ppl want to pay the postage costs i will be happy to send some copys out np style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />

i have the vw manuel on dvd its very good takes a bit to get your head around it but well worth the money

does any 1 know were you get them bonnets from what come over the lights and amke the lupo look so mean i got the vw magazine and theres 2 lupos in there with them on but cant find them any were some 1 in the club must know were to get them or at least have one style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

yes your right about the compression test not always the most reliable of tests but i think it will be an oil seal more than any thing .,,,dont know much about injecters but what are the odds of it been an injecter over an oil seal ? and may i say teflon your the man you know every thing m8 about these cars you should be know as the ORACLE style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

yes valve stem oil seals or rings ? which is more likely to have gone if any

i have been told by a machanic that i might have blown a piston ring first they said might be a valve seal then another garage said piston ring what are the odds of a ring going i have only done 38000 miles and havent thrashed it it runs fine exept every now and then kicks some smoke out for a bout 30 secs then its fine again still pull ok style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":confused:" border="0" alt="confused.gif" />

rang 3 local vw dealers abot the prob they said because it was out of warrenty they would not do it for free they said i would have to pay £73 inspection fee then what ever the prob was i would have to pay the rest also worst case sinario was new peddle box plus fitting £438 + vat lol

my car is ill needs the valve seals doing so while its in for the op might as well go the whole hog i am having the ports polished and the bore aswell new water pump cambelt again while under the knife any one else had the ports polished does it make any differance style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> and saw a lupo on a web site but cant find it now which had 2 fans on the rad instead of 1 any 1 done this

i got the dvd lupo manual from ebay and hopefully be going to the next meet if i get the car sorted in time (fingers crossed) and will be selling the dvd for £1.50 each just to cover cost of dvds and case i have the dvd for cars up to 2004 so if ppl are interested let me know so i know how many copys to run off so i have a rough idea style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":coffee:" border="0" alt="coffee.gif" />

got the same prob m8 on a 1.4 sport 16v runs fine then stop a lights go to set off and theres smoke for man and dog the mechanic who i was said he thought it was the cup seals on the valves

any body seen the gti leather interior on ebay with all door cards and grill,cd player,grill,wheels if i could afford i would have the lot
