Hi, Richud Thankyou for such a quick reply, I just had my Lupo 1.0 MOT,ed yesterday, its 2001 reg, with 30,000mile on the clock, passed first time. The MOT person said its the door strap knocking. Iv'e always had VW,s it runs in the family, iv got a 1966 beetle still with us for more than 25 years. Just a quick question how do I get a copy of a repair manual for the lupo with out buying it on e-bay? regards Ashwin

hello, could any one help with a door check strap which is making a loud ticking, cracking sound every time I open and close the drivers and passanger side doors. I have sprayed plenty of WD40 i little less noise but still there. How easy is it to repair or repalace them. Thanks
