Hi mate my gear box was doing the same thing. Turns out there's a hole in the casing and it basically needs changing because there's know oil in it. Which is pretty serious I'm just scouting around trying to find a reasonably priced one. Badtimes if it's the same as mine

Yes your right it's all it needs really as far as I'm aware yes it is, coil overs were going to be the next step to deck it. Comes with original gti wheels also all with good tread.

I've got a red lupo gti for sale 2001 reg but has a private plate which states M111UPO works really well with the German plates to spell lupo see photo's below which I have been quoted £500 for online. It has full service history although it's not VW. It also has dished Calibre 5 spoke alloys with black middle and chrome rim, which i paid £550 online last year but unfortunately a few are curbed after letting the misses use it for a while typically but can easily be refurbed, see photos also. It's got 96156 miles on the clock and had a new alternator fitted last year. Reason for sale is unfortunately the gear box needs changing but I'm sure someone on here will have the know how get it sorted. It's still turns over absolutly fine and before the issues with the gear box it was a dream to drive. The starter motor does occasionally make a woo noise but we all know it is quite common with VW's in general. Bodywork is fairly good if I'm honest there's a few stone chips but there is a few bad scrapes on the rear bumper aswell as slight erosion on the boot handle see photos also. Finally the passenger mirror is held on by zip ties currently as vandals booted it off about a month ago. But it is only the bracket that's broken not the mirror or casing. All photos of body damage are bellow but it really is a great car n I do love it to pieces it just needs to go to a home where they have the know how really. I'm looking in the range of £2550 which is allowing for costs for the gearbox. MOT is up in the winter and road tax is up next month but ill nom that off the asking price also.
