love it. Wheels are awesome. Whats your verdict on them discs? been looking into upgrading to them, but not much on the net about them, as in user reviews.

I had 280mm on front which were AMAZING! Got rid of brake fade very very well. The rears I changed disks and pads and then pretty much sold the car so cant really comment on how they were if Im honest. I used the logic that they look nice, the rears dont do much and they could only be better (bad logic really as They could be worse  ) but I just fancyed them for looks. I have no idea whats on it now, as I pick her up on friday.

Is the 280mm kit the G60 conversion? Or are they bigger still?

Mines a 1.4S, and I assume the GTi brakes are bigger??

Yeah, been looking at them. Trying to wipe the drool off my keyboard as we speak.

Just out of interest, what set up does the 1.4S have? I'm wanting grooved and drilled set up and am currently looking into Willwood, only thing I dislike about them, the price :(

Willwood is cheapest Big brake kit your get! The Brembos on my TT are £800 for a pair of disks and £270 ish a set of pads for front! 239mm on the lesser models I belive buddy. Your need GTI/Sport hubs probally at least if you go for a big brake kit. The 280's will be plenty for you on a 1.4 Id imagine.

Thanks Luce - I go to uni in Swansea so you might see her on the M4 from time to time (Friday & Sunday evenings at min). Im from Gloucestershire

The De- Guttering was Done by Gearth (Well a body shop when he owned it)

Any idea what he filled them in with? - lead? cos that part of the chassis gets lots of stretch and i may get mine smoothed out when i eventually get the rust in my roof sorted.

Yeah they were filled plated and skimmed.

I have her at home now. Shes been dry stored for a fair few months and it shows.

Jobs to do:

Wipers dont self cancel

Proper Clean

Door internal panels arnt fitted correctly

Cold Air feed for BMC

New tyres all round with new lockers (ones at min are rubbish McGuard flower heads that just round!)

New coilovers with Top mounts (Maybe adjustable solid ones)

After that things Id like to do are:

New Light Wheels

New tow Eye cover

ARB front and rear and Poly bush

Uprated Dog bone mount

Make a flat floor

Kenwood DNX HU and some rainbow speakers

Its leather covered. Wouldn't want that in my red hot engine bay! I will put it on for shows or just flog it as people on here will tell you, Im not the best Cleaner! I remember ED38 getting told off for having Stunning Cults and they wernt shiny enough, I was given a cloth and some metal polish and told not to move till they were gleaming!

7 Fuseses were blown on car

Wipers are now working correctly

Original Leather Wheel back on (Momo 280mm and boxx for sale soon)

Airbag light off now Leather wheel back on

I need a nice new wheel. Probally a R32 wheel like James would be nice, will have to have a chat with him as dont want anything lairy like the momo (not a image for a GTI)

Pics will be up later.
