Loopy Woo

I bought Loopy Woo in April (my 3rd car and I'm only 18, don't ask!!) but only just started this thread as I was too shy and a 1.0l with poor bodywork and interior isn't much to shout about. The previous owner (who named the car; surprisingly catchy and suited) asked me to "look after Loopy". That's open to interpretation right?!

When I finally sort out my photos (they are far too big in size) and join a photo sharing site I will upload some so you can see what I mean!! When I manage this I would be interested in what people have to say, I'm expecting mixed opinions. In the mean time, any car meets in the South East London area?? Not just for Lupo's, my mate has a mk2 Golf and he's keen to show that off!! :P Thanks for reading, hopefully you can all see some photos soon!!

Hi and welcome! You're not a million miles away from me in Caterham, I'm in Redhill/Reigate. I haven't been for ages, but there is a fantastic meet at Brands Hatch on the last Wednesday of every month called PREPT, strictly(!) German cars only, always a great turn out.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!! It would be great to meet some of you. I was hoping to go to Prept last Wednesday, but I had a job interview in Plymouth on the Thursday... Next time. Anyway if this works, photos?!

What she looked like when I first bought her:

Then I stripped out most of my interior for a good 3 months (I can only thank God I was not pulled over during this time, not sure how it would have ended)

All for a good cause I might add!!

As I've left it near the end of my project to start this thread and I wasn't very good at keeping track with photos, I've kinda lost chronological order.. Anyway, I added some fog-lights/spot-lights (they don't work, shh)

And took her on a shortened version of the 3 peaks. She covered over 1000 miles in 3 days (including Hardknott Pass) and hit 80,000 miles - all with an engine light and an airbag light. The airbag lights not all bad news, I managed to remove some of the cheap hubcaps in the process!!...

Surprising what you can fit into a Lupo eh!!

And now college is over everything has started to come together. Lowered (a little, insurance..) with some new wheels and a complete interior. I'll let the photos do the talking now, any opinions (especially on the interior) would be greatly appreciated. I won't be offended either way, I'm expecting mixed opinions. However I would like to clarify it isn't stickerbombed, they're photos I've taken in the past which I have decoupaged - basically glued - to the panels

Forgot to say, in changing the steering wheel (the airbag bit in the middle was slightly popped out) I made the rookie mistake of putting it back on wonky. This is me on a dual carriageway pushing Loopy Woo in a straight line.. I can tell you it's quite counter intuitive (but all fixed now)

Lastly, in case anyone is interested, two of my mates cars:

mk2 Golf - http://s1291.photobucket.com/user/loopy_woo/media/DSC_0031_zpsba797b0a.jpg.html?sort=3&o=5

And, any guesses - http://s1291.photobucket.com/user/loopy_woo/media/DSC_0056_zpsdabef694.jpg.html?sort=3&o=4

So I think that's all for now, there's still more in the pipeline but I thought I'd start this for now.

Thanks for reading

seems really weird, I'm also an 18 year old with my third car being a 1.0 lupo with body work that's seen better days! nice to see the progress anyway mate!

Haha how strange, I dunno about you but I think I ended up this way due to a tight student budget. And a strong disliking of insurance!! Sound about right for most 18 year olds?? :P
