Ant0889
hello all, what does the 1.4tdi do with boost pressure off throttle? im not very clued up on them as im sure you have noticed.would fitting a recirculating BOV be advised?also, my friend with a 1.9tdi leon recently had a 'mufflerectomy', basically removing the backbox from the exhaust completley and fitting a bit of plain exhaust pipe with a tip. hes noticed the turbo spools quicker but has stated it could be just a placebo effect.anyone done this, or have any experience with this?cheersAnthony
Dblock
Mufflerectmy does reduce back pressure and does make thr turbo spool faster and can give power though. There is additional noise too. A Decat IMO is more benifical IMO. Diesels cars have no throttle plate. They run WOT at all times. So a BOV wouldn't make much sense.
