Nathan94
On my new Arosa Sport, the temperature gauge isn't working, so I gather this means the car doesn't know the coolant temperature? Could this cause the car to have trouble starting? Yesterday it took quite a few turns to get going
Skezza
Probably not. The coolant temperature sensor has two outputs, one to the dash and one to the ECU. It's very common that the one on the dash fails while the one to the ECU reads perfectly.Just change it when it's next convenient.
Nathan94
That's probably more worrying as to why it sometimes won't start! Seems to only do it when it's been warm or cooling down, from cold it's fine.
