Keelan
My TDi is making a vibration noise that can be felt at idle and is even more noticeable when pulling away.At first I thought it was an engine mount but it seems to be more of a running problem.I think it may be an injection problem, maybe gunked up if not a balancing issue.I have a new gear, chain and tensioner kit for the balance shaft to go on
Skezza
Diesel Purge. I've done a how to. Will clean your injectors mate.
Dblock
I'd check all your filters, diesel purge for the injectors but it could be the engine mounts. I've read but not sure that the inner cv joint? can vibrate the car if its on it's way out. But don't hold me to that as I don't get it. Defcon5
Isn't that just what diesels do ha?
Dblock
Isn't that just what diesels do ha?The tdi when running properly with good engine mounts is smooth as silk IMO. But engine mounts seem to go bad on diesels quickly either due to them taking alot of stress due to the shaking a diesel does and maybe the high levels of torque? Pure guess though,
Keelan
Thank you. Giving it a full service soon so hopefully that clears it up. If not, I'll replace engine mounts.
Kermit Girl
Worth checking the dog- bone mount underneath as this can cause vibes when pulling away.
