Brucyy
Can anyone suggest any tips on how to get my front coilovers to adjust? Tried wd-40 and the won't budge.
joshuaar
What coilovers do you have? What's the problem? Can't separate the locking collars or are the threads rusty?
Brucyy
They're APs. And basically I just can't get the adjuster to move. So I guess rusty threads! But they are rock solid
arosaSDI
ive just binned a set of ap's for the same reason, once they've gone that far they usually need replacing
DannyParanoid
When mine got siezed up, i had the 2 C spanners and a hammer hitting one of them, also try giving the nuts a small tap with a hammer, not so hard you smash out the C spanner grooves, but apparently this can also free off the threads! matt123roll
You need to take them fully off and clean up the threads, ideally in a parts bath. Forcing the collars will only do damage and anger you more.
NornIron
WD-40 is a lubricant... what you need is a penetrating fluid. Try using PlusGas daily for about a week, then Robert will be your mothers brother!
