SAitken1
Hey guys, I have a 1999 Lupo 1.0, recently I've been hearing a sort of clicking noise coming from the front left side of the car, it happens when I put my foot on the accelerator and when I take my foot off it stops for about 2-3 seconds and starts again. At first I thought it was something loose from under the car hitting off the ground as I was driving, but I put her on a ramp and there's nothing loose or anything low enough to hit off the ground. I usually take my car in to get fixed straight away but I usually know what the fault is, I was just wondering if anyone else has had this same problem before.Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys. Chrisbee
Is the car lowered?Knackered CV joint or shaft bearing, having mine looked at next week. Edited January 9, 2014 by Chrisbee
SAitken1
It's only down about 50mm now but the idiot who had the car before I did had it dropped 160mm. I had it in at a garage today and the mechanic said it could be a collapsed bearing, but he done my track rod end and replaced the brake caliper bolt and it stopped the ticking noise. Driving about for about an hour and BOOM, there it is again. Got a drive shaft from the scrappy today and taking it in to get done tomorrow. Thanks for the reply and I'll let you know tomorrow if that was the problem. Chrisbee
Yeah mine comes and goes, my car wasn't lowered very much and started doing it. Not failure too as well.
