calumcostello1
Hi, i fitted an air filter to my car and plumbed the cam case breather back into the inlet but it just sucked up oil from the engine into the inlet and flooded my engine. Is it done correctly or shall i get a catch tank?
Defcon5
If that's sucking enough oil to flood the engine then it must have about 20 litres in!What is actually happening ?
calumcostello1
it sucked the oil out of the cam case breather, then the fumes came threw the cabin and it cut out. I pulled over and burned it through and is now running, i have ordered a catch tank but i am unsure if it will cure it or it will happen again. vDKx
I have the same problem I think my induction kit is pulling oil through so I'm going to fit the air box again and see what happens. I checked my oil 2 week ago and today the light came on so checked the dip stick nil I would personally just blank the breather pipe or get a replacement tube and put a little filter straight on top of the crank breather. I'm only replacing the air box on mine to be sure it is the problem. Kendell
