Dblock
Really? What's the fascination with these sorts of wheel? They look like they belong on a Bedford rascal.

Dblock
I know was being silly. But why so much love for these sorts of wheels. I know each to their own etc etc but i just don't get it?
JoeA
When you say these sorts do you mean g60s or bandeds?
Koop
It's a retro/OEM thing isnit. With a big dish and/or shiny paint job on boggo stylee rims you can have wheels that are a bit special but still in keeping with the original factory look. James827
they are pretty disposable winter wheels, and they are everywhere as they still sell them new. banded im not sure 9 inch would be my thing. i think 7.5 / 7 would be nice and subtlearent they like 6.5j in stock VW form? iirc
Dblock
Ahh ok. Where did banding or banded wheels come about? I just always think they look strange but I probably just don't understand what they are about.
Philplop
They are 6" wide as standard.Banded wheels are as old as the sun.
Dblock
They are banded to make them wider? I just personally think they look terrible but its cool not to admit they are horrible. Bbs and porsche wheels look good even those p slots but when ever I see these types on a car I always think shame could have got something better. As I said though each to their own and I can appreciate the effort to make the wide wheels fit.
