Yet Another Suspension Thread

So, I have just completed a rear GTI beam conversion on my lupo and everything worked out sweet... excluding the suspension (hence this thread). My OEM shocks have decided to break into about 5 parts probably as a result of the 60mm drop on springs about 6 months ago. The front ones are just as bad. My question is; 'Should I replace them with Apex/Spax/WhatEverElse shocks all round, or eBay special cheap coilovers?'. Please no flippant, pointess responses.

Thanks in advance,

Paul

If you're happy with the ride height & can't see yourself wanting to tweak it then new shocks are going to be the best bet. Generally more comfortable than coilovers. My mates with Mk2s swear by Spax PSX, ride adjustable gas shocks isnit. Though one of them has just put Bilstein B12s on the front of his 8v & coilies on the rear, **** that thing handles.
