Phil.B
Hi allBeen reading up on the Lupo's/Arosa's for a while now lurking about on the forum. Going to see an Arosa on Sunday and feeling pretty confident about what to look out for when I do. Apart from the engine! It has a 1.4 8v. What's the engine code for this engine? I assumed it was the 1.4 16v which the Lupo's had to but I was wrong! What's the feeling with these are they strong or will i have to have a good look at it?
Chrisbee
aub i think if its a later one, lupos had them also early ones.strong solid engine (same as the 1L) just check the usual things like oil etc make sure theres no leaks anywhere as long as its been looked after you should be fine. Phil.B
Thanks Chris that's good to know. It's a 2004 one so should be the newer engine.

Phil.B
No worries! The engine was really sweet in it along with everything else so was purchased!
Phil.B
After a few days the Arosa has developed an issue. It was fine on a 3 hour drive back and pottering around for a few days but the EPC light has come on and intermittently miss fires and is now cutting out once warmed up.I'm getting it scanned tomorrow to see what faults come up. Also it was due a service when it was bought so going to be doing all the filters, oil and after reading up on here cleaning out the throttle body.I might be reporting back with fault codes Edited June 14, 2013 by Phil.B
