Wanting to buy some pressed plates, they come with the option with or without the little blue GB logo.

Im trying to find out whether it is legal to have them without. any help is much appreciated.

Yes it is, but there are a whole load of other regulations they need to confirm to. Where are you getting them from?

well ive seen people on this forum before chatting about the ones on ebay for like 25 quid. checked it out, and pretty much all of them say 100% road legal. right font, right spacing, reflective yellow and white. but im just curious if im allowed to have them without the GB logo, think it makes them look alot nicer.

To be road legal they need to have the correct reflective background, a BS kite mark and the supplier details. You should not buy them from anywhere that doesn't ask for your documents.

The GB logo is still optional on all types of road legal plates.

Dubmeister are reputable, most eBay companies are not.

As Pete said, go to DM. I purchased 'road legal' plates on ebay, no issues for months and then one day was randomly tugged and thrown a £60 fine for them not being 'retro-reflective'. Although there is no roadside measuring system for this I was stung with the time and didn't want to take it to court as I was 18 and in full time work so couldn't afford the time off.

You can read about the fiasco here; http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?/topic/90434-l60-fine-for-having-legal-plates/

Stick to DM plates it's worth having a good company there to back you up in the event you get a copper who's confused about the legality of pressed plates.
